Technically it's over, but this is the same crowd which is still debating Bush V. Gore and the results of the 2016 election. Acceptance of reality isn't exactly in their wheel house. Romney has given them some much needed distraction from the Iowa debacle, and the state of chaos within the dem party itself. At the end of the day they started with nothing, proved nothing and ended with nothing. If you were on the Orange Man Bad side yesterday, you're still on it today, Trump has not lost any of his following, and after that SOTU he probably gained some support with independents, tepid and fluid as that may be.
They're still left with the Bernie problem. If he doesn't get the nod AntiFa will probably burn Milwaukee to the ground. If he does get it, the party establishment has to openly endorse a communist for president while claiming their love of country. Rock and a hard place.

The dems biggest problem is not they ended out with an acquittal. They knew that was coming.
