Zimmerman is legally allowed to walk on public walkways in his neighborhood to see where a suspicious person is going so he can report it to police.
He had already reported it to police and they told him not to follow.

Does not matter the least bit.
It matters when determining who the aggressor is.If one retreats and one pursues, the pursuer is the aggressor.
The aggressor is the individual who make deliberate physical contact with the other individual (as defined by law).
There is no video or eyewitness to that. There would be no deliberate physical contact if Zimmerman wouldn't have pursued a retreating Martin.
Obviously people can tell you over & over that all the physical and other evidence supports Zimmerman's account. But you just aren't going to listen & learn, eh?
The evidence supports Zimmerman getting beat up by Martin, and thats why he got off.The evidence supports that Zimmerman was the aggressor, which is why he shouldn't have.
Your definition of aggressor does not align with the legal definition of aggressor under the law in any state. Either you can align with the law or just live in your fantasy world.
