you may be right. I was mariied 31 years, and 25 of those were the most unhappy of my life. I tried everything I could do to save the marriage, and when she finally left I was devastated and had a complete mental breakdown. First thing I did was get a girlfriend and that was another 2 years of unhappiness. Now I am alone trading, I have two pets, red worms and a possumn, and I am almost ashamed to admit today I am happier than a pig in shit (which is what she always made me feel like.)Quote from jem:

Children seem to respond like little investments. The more you strategically put in (not money - but time, thought and love) and manage the more you get out.

Someone mentioned getting married is the biggest decision you'll make but I think having kids is. If you care about being a good parent and raising respectful children it makes the stress of trading seem nil.

wow... I resented losing my weekends at first.
Plus my wife was always talking about family time.
Which meant repetitive trips to the zoo or legoland. taking up my Saturday and Sunday. Not sure how old your kids are but start moving towards a good family hobby.
A golfer said... you like golf... start taking the kids... pretend you love it... they will want to play golf then when they love it your wife will be on board. I now walk 9 with my 3 of my 4 kids 3 to 5 days a week.
Truly some of the best advice I have heard on this planet regarding families. and in line with the ed seykota quote above.
If not golf... motorcycle racing, hiking camping etc.
