try AMEX:$AD-AMEX

Is there a list of the amex indexes available thru IB? Also is there any way to eliminate the blank spaces caused by market holidays on the charts?

yes. go to symbol search and search for indexes under the AMEX exchange, in IB

as for getting rid of holidays, go to the holiday timeframe (edit timeframe) and insert the holiday hours

Yeah I found the indexes. I still cant find where to delete the holidays.

options, preferences, charts, multi-day timeframes, market holidays

I did that. It lists all the market holidays and yesterdays is on the list but I still have a blank space for yesterday.

Hello Capablanca

Just right click on the indices panel and select edit, you can then select IB as the quote source and select or add whatever indices you like.
