Hmmmmm

this software looks alright. Is it better than ensign (with IB data feed)? That's what I'm using now.

Thanks,
ozzy

I used ensign in 1991...

In 1998-now...

Used Real Tick...REDI...Hammer...Light Speed...Sonic...Tim Zu´s product...and others...

Whereas the above products are good products....Medved´s product is awesome...and they are making improvements constantly...

For Charts...Medved´s Quote Tracker is excellent !!!!!!!!!

It depends on what feature you are using. Ensign has many exotic features that no other softwares have.

I use QT and Ensign. I like them both... :)

Chello. I'm trading FX at Oanda and I'd like to be able to follow the currency futures rt, since they have volume, rather that just the FX pairs. Would QT do this? How much would it cost moi per month for currencies? No soybeans, no ES, no Level II, just currency futures in realtime, baby!

Thanks much,
Harold

Harold,

We don't currently support Oanda, though if they have an API that does not incur extra costs for the end-user and if Oanda cooperates, we can implement the needed integration.

As for the costs, that would depend on Oanda, or if you are using a different datafeed, whatever they charge. Anyone know what the costs are from IQFeed or eSignal for this data?

I think the CME is the exchange I want, the fee is about $30 a month. I'll check on pricing for some of the QT compatible datafeeds.

Thanks,
H

Excellent product, very reliable.

GUI is esthetically pleasing and very functional for rapid chart deployment and indicator toggles.

Is there Scottrade support for rapid execution of orders?

Secondly are there third party plug-ins for chart shapes scanning?

(flags, tripple tops-cup w/handle)

No. For that we would need Scottrade's cooperation. Considering their open hostility, it is highly unlikely. If their attitude does change, we would be glad to work with them

That I am not sure about. AmiBroker and Wealth-lab can access QT data, but don't know if they have the capabilities that you are looking for. QT has an open API, so if someone wants to write something to do the chart shape scanning, it would be relatively easy to do.
