Hi

I'm using QT with IB data feed as a backup for eSignal but I've got a problem with volume bars: the volume study always stays empty (not a single bar) on my 1 minute charts of the DAX & Eurostoxx futures. What am I doing wrong?

But why is the same setup working with IB and Sierra as well as with IB and Ensign? Both programs take their data from IB and display volume bars without a problem.
 
they use LAST TRADE size and add it up. QT goes by cumulative volume. Since IB is not a tick by tick datafeed, using LAST TRADE is not feasible since then the volume is totally inacurate.

So basically your home grown software is better than QT, amazing! This is a MAJOR handicap of QT then, charts without volume are totally useless really ....

PS: I'm not on the demo but on the live version of IB

Jerry: is there any way around this problem?I'm a big fan of your software, but volume is obviously a must....and IB is certainly among the more important data feed sources of QT.

That's strange because it doesnt' work here and Jerry even explained why it doesn't work in the above post. I'm a bit confused to be honest.....
