I used the old medved but when my paid license was obsoleted I stopped. I have used Sierra for a while and find the following things good:
1) rock solid reliability
2) good range of standard functionalility
3) great dll interface which answers some of Roberk's issues on the prev page. Note that these are on a Woodies Club site so some members here could not bring themselves to use them.
a) i rewrote the sierra pivots so that they use one chart and default to whole day but u can set market start and end. Does all pivots out to 4 and optionally woodies or standard pivots. Also optionally warns you if the pivot gets close to the price.
b) i did an overlay for sierra that lets you add choose to use a close or average price line. you might be able to do that with the standard functionality ??
c) also did a function that lets you add user defined proportions of other indexes which some woodies club members use to create a dollar index for ib.
d) and because folk at woodies club like to trade without price but consider the angle of the lsma and ema34 to be important filters I did and interesting one which creates an angle box showing the angle of the two lines in it.
4) Recently mg has written a dll that lets you do both tick and constant volume charts in Sierra.
Basically its a good dll interface with a fast compiled language so you have great flexibility.
If you like andrews babson lines and other channels then Sierra is a real pain so I wouldnt bother ... perhaps ensign or, if it does it well, quotetracker. Also at present you cant put text on the chart from the dll.

PS. Despite my tease for the anti-woodie team this stuff is actually freely available for any sierra users.
