As a long term investment, CMG. It made an interesting bearish 50/200 MA cross but I think it will stay in a range for awhile.

The racial make up of the US is changing rapidly. People of hispanic decent will make up most of the population. It's also posting quality ratios like MCD. CMG can be the next MCD.
 
Not sure that Latinos care to eat at CMG with any regularity or zest quite frankly. Nothing to back that up. But I will follow them to the more authentic local establishments known to have good food.
 
The Tex-Mex and Cal-Mex folks seem to love it. Chicago would be the acid test as we have the most authentic Mexican food (18th St) I have ever seen. Maybe, I am just confusing or biased to provincial differences. Mexican food is one of my addictions, sadly.

I am quite shocked that many American born Mexicans don't know about their cuisine beyond typical fast food fare. Just watch Rick Bayless.

However, we would all be healthier if Vietnamese Pho becomes the next MCD. The least expensive is also found in Chicago. : )

One edge that MCD had and has lost it while ago was "cheap" food. People remember "dollar" menu which does not exist anymore so if you are frugal and want to eat cheap, MCD is not an option anymore (there are no options at all other than MCD). So if you want to have a burger that will cost you $6 to $11, you have lots of options. Health wise it is not a good choice either. Maybe on the road it is one of your limited options but in city no way.

I did not like SBUX coffee before then I switched to Americano and I was ok and then I liked it. Now Panera coffee is too watery for me and it is not fresh many times but you have free refill that I have used it once in 100 times that I have been there. Pricewise, it is more expensive than SBUX. I meant simple coffee.

It might be an age thing. I used to drink all that sugar and milk myself. Americano is a great choice -- not strong like espresso and yet none of the bitterness from brew. In that sense, we have to consider population demographics and their tastes, not just our own.
