Impeachment works as intended. The arbitrary high bar in the Senate keeps frivolous impeachments from resulting in removal.
I predict that the mid-terms will result in a 2-5 member House majority for the GOP. They will probably impeach Biden in the House, obv fail in the Senate, which will result in a landslide Kamala win in 2024 as well as a large House majority when we flip it back.
Clinton was impeached after lying about a BJ. They lost more House seats that expected. Trump impeached and loses the election--in small part to a legitimate impeachment. Impeached a second time and loses historic numbers of support. Even that skank Haley as dropped him.
You're dumb. It's not a process. The trial is for removal. It's analogous to stating Clinton wasn't impeached.
What Federal precedent says Congress can impeach a President, not in office?
Real question... not trying to argue... yet.
I have never seen any precedent mentioned.
Its just a bunch scholars and pundits arguing for their point of view.
It doesn't matter now. He was acquitted. No 2/3 majority. Not sure the markets will like that tomorrow night. Because now there will be uncertainty, once again.
The vote is of TREMENDOUS value. 43 on the record allowing an insurrection to go unpunished. 57/43. Again, a solid bipartisan majority.
lol fucking try it, dude. You'll be the first one (from here) in the crosshairs of a NF ATACR 1-8X.
