When ZB was coming back through 119 last Wednesday I bought Dec 113-109 put spreads 20 by 30. I've been long Dec 103p's for weeks and they're actually still pumped! I want to get something REAL crazy on like 100 March's but premiums are really, really high. The last time I played it with a naked collar I b116p and sold 120c to finance it and I lost 50k in day's so I'm hesitant to go that road again. If you want to under trade though writing calls to buy puts is a great way to do it. My #1 concern is timing. It could take 2 years to get this going. Minimum though I see the Long Bond going to 8% (what was par on the old coupon futures contract) Like a Taleb type trader I think there's a 20% chance of Treasury debt being worthless in a half dozen years.
