Here's yet another example of the explosive growth of Christianity :

"In the United States, the Assemblies of God are a relatively small denomination with an almost stagnating membership of 1.5 million. But, worldwide, the Assemblies have 40 million members and the denomination is growing so fast in Africa, Asia and Latin America that it has difficulty providing its new congregations with ministers."

I can't find examples for every denomination and church, but here is another example of a church showing to be stagnant in the west and exploding worldwide.

Banging my head against the wall. Read my post again. The TOTAL world Christian population according the Jenkins goes from 2 billion to 2.6 billion. That's a 30% increase in 25 years which is approximately 2%/growth per year.

I am not dealing with a subset of the population!!

The point only had to do with my opening statement where I said I had a fund with explosive growth-- PRESENT TENSE while supporting it with examples of FUTURE TENSE. FUTURE support is USELESS in supporting a present tense case. GET IT?

You may well have the ENTIRE WORLD converted to christianity by 2005. BUT RIGHT NOW THE GROWTH OF CHRISIANITY IS STATIC OR IN DECLINE.

Now, as of yesterday I had no knowledge or opinion or the growth in the christian community. I don't give a rip about it frankly and I'm very happy to entertain numbers that show current explosive growth, BUT YOU HAVEN'T PRODUCED ANY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, let's start out with a definition here. I hereby define "high growth" - notice I didn't use stellar or explosive - as 30% or more in a 25 year period. By Jenkin's definition Christianity will experience high growth:

Current World christian Population Totals:
Europe (560 million)
North America (260 million)
Latin America (480 million)
Africa (360 million)
Asia (313 million)
Total: (2 billion)

Almost every post that I have done is on overall global numbers, but since you keep ignoring them I thought I'd supply some anecdotal evidence as well...

The WHOLE FRICKEN POINT OF MY POST is that its ERRONEOUS
to use absolute terms and NOT percentage terms.

And you COMPLETELY missed it.

You are sitting there and claiming EXPLOSIVE growth as
christianity is LOSING GROUND to other belief systems!!!

The only reason they are gaining numbers in ABSOLUTE
terms is because the overall population is INCREASING.

But that is IRRELEVANT.

Think of it this way.
If over the next 1000 years, christians gain a SINGLE MEMBER,
you could claim growth, but by that time they may only
represent a mere 1% of the population!!!!

Any way you cut it, chrisitianity is in a global DOWNTREND
in percentage terms. Your absolute numbers are
misleading and meaningless.


Read my simple analogy again. CAREFULLY.

If you still dont understand... you are either playing dumb
or being dishonest, or lack the basic math/logic skills.
