Republican policies make that very difficult .It would be easier to do if we had domestic and foreign polices like the previous country you mentioned Switzerland.
What Republican policies? That’s a bullshit response. You want to point blame it better be on both sides of the isle because Democrats have had control of todays problem inner cities for the last few decades, and they’ve done squat to combat the problems faced by inner city residents. Instead they've shot their wad on illegal immigrants.
If you really want to have a discussion on the problem of inner city violence it starts with acknowledging there is a problem. Not just guns but the social drivers that exasperate the problem. Because without addressing those, any type of gun reform means nothing and will not work. It will only make things worse and endanger innocent people.
I’m from Oklahoma, we lived through the worst act of domestic violence in the US, the Murrah bombing. While the city, state, everyone was coming to grips with the tragedy, in the background local, state law enforcement along with federal agencies were everywhere. They let it be known that there was zero tolerance for bullshit criminal/gang crap. For a long period of time after the bombing, criminal activity dropped to nothing. The people, along law enforcement were not going to put up with anything as the area grieved.
We have on the books enough laws to stop criminals, stop the violence. But it takes a combined unified effort between law enforcement and citizens willing to do what it takes to put a stop to the maddness. Vilifying Law Enforcement, Cops only makes matters worse.
Getting rid of guns isn't the answer, quit glorifying illegal lifestyles and dividing everyone.
