Marrying for money

Quote from turkeyneck:

What's the fascination with Central Park West anyway? How much rent are we talking about?
It's really not that great, to tell you the truth.

2 G's will get you a nice two bedroom setup, but there are much better areas to live in if you want to play fancy pants, the Eastside is where the money is.

The West Village is for the people who think they're cool, the East Village is where the really cool people are, and Brooklyn is up and coming.

I guess you can say, if you want love (or a friend), get a dog now a days.

It is a shame how the U.S. society is in the 21st century. What ever happened to independence from both genders? Excuse be for saying this, but these women seem like money hungry useless bitches. As for the men, I wouldn't even call them that. I believe that both men and women should be able to support themselves independently. I.E., not have to latch on to the other one for monetary support.

What a shame.

JJ, I am over in Jersery across from Battery Park City on the water. 2g's will get you a 1 bedroom apartment here. A 2 bedroom apartment is more around 3 - 3.5 g's per month. I would think it would be more on C.P.W. I know at Trump or P.A.S., its around 5g's.

For the fancier digs, you're probably right, but CPW is a wide strip of land, not an exact location, and if you go further up the Upper West Side (which is what I was thinking) or if you go for a studio you can crack the market for 2G's.

Apt Listing

It's the EastSide digs that are really classier and more expensive ... don't forget, there's a lot of riff-raf up around the 90's and 100's. :p

I'd rather inherent billions than earn it on my own. It is so so hard to die after you have earned that much money on your own.

Easy come easy go, makes sense.
Hard come easy go, such a piss off.

LOL.
The bars are jammed with Russian and eastern European girls (many of them strikingly beautiful) looking to hook up with a sugar daddy. Stories are legend here - and sadly true - of the 50 and 60 year old guys who swallowed the hook and got nailed just months later with divorce papers. The girl will just drive away in her new SL and hit the circuit again.

Who in their right mind thinks that some hot chick they hook up with at a bar is really the right girl to marry? These guys are morons if they think some barfly is marrying material. Yes, a small number may be, but the majority are not.

These guys need to look for wives in better places. or use barflys for their god-given intent, as one night stands.

"Here’s an excerpt from Corcoran’s book, “If You Don't Have Big Breasts, Put Ribbons On Your Pigtails! And Other Lessons I Learned From My Mom”:

After failing at twenty-two other jobs, I borrowed $1000.00 from my boyfriend, quit my job as a waitress, and started a tiny real estate office in New York City. Using twenty-four unconventional lessons I learned from my Mom, I built my tiny company into an 8 billion dollar business!"

I met mine while "sitting on a park bench". Aqualung, anyone?

I met mine: On a restroom wall, there was a message "for a good time call stephanie" I called the number and we have had a good time for 20 some years.

maybe if the man and woman decide they don´t want to look for other options, something nice can grow, but the strong "being in love" from the first 3 year will never come back in my opinion.

You haven't met the right one yet. Its that simple. I met my queen 20 yrs ago and still feel the same way about her as the first time I looked in her eyes.

Rent the movie The NoteBook sometime. It does happen.

A long term happy marriage is something money just can't buy.
