What's odd about it? Apparently he liked the book. He's not entitled to his opinion?
Baron is entitled to his opinion, however I seriously doubt he read the book. I welcome his comments on this thread accordingly if my assumption is in error.
But it wasn't Baron that posted the review in rebuttal, it was a two week old username/member with no claimed knowledge of Goodboy or his antic's that did.
Finding cyberbullying distasteful makes someone a 'shill' or 'alias'?
No, but churning alias's does.
A newly created account is also suspect, considering this has been Goodboy's operatus morandi for years. So the question of "Alias or Shill" isn't an unreasonable assumption.
Anyway, have you read it?
I have read Dave Goodboy's drivel on ET for many years. I am familiar with his failed attempt at monetizing "Price Drivers". Goodboy's single instrument strategy of buy/sell on his subjective believe/bias. His averaging down when wrong, taking massive heat, never adding to a winning trade. But when right on a "call" wins on minuscule size (proper position management) which is a euphemism for trading a $150 Nadex account. (Easy to take 300 pts heat, when you don't have any real skin in the game.) 300 pts heat on a leveraged position could easily result in most people blowing out an account.
I read the preface, table of contents and sample material on Amazon. He conveniently characterized BLOWING up a fund and the devastating loss of a friends total assets resulting in her unfortunate suicide as "losing his profits". The actual details of BLOWING up the fund and true cost of his failure(s) he neglected to disclose.
By his own admission he instigates controversy on this site for the sole purpose of acquiring material to "add to his book". So yes, I am familiar with Goodboy's writing style, methods and potential content of his book, since good chance it is just a regurgitated version of the Surf Report and ET posts.
As far as reviews go, I am fairly confident that the 5 star reviews are self promotion.
He is known for referring to himself in the third person, reviewing his own book is surely not below him.
Cyber bulling, isn't the case here. This is the outing a self-promoting fraud and preventing naive newbies from falling victim to another delusional internet Snake-oil salesman's loathsome behavior, shilling internet forums.
