Quote from Guildenstern:
Legalizing pot would absolutely lower the price. Marijuana can be grown just about anywhere and does not deplete the soil that it is grown in unlike tobacco. As evidence, consider the cost of a pound of high grade marijuana in Vancouver BC with what it will command in Las Vegas, LA or Chicago.
The cost of bud in Amsterdam is related to a lack of foreign competition and the tourist trade.
agreed the price will go down. with it ever be worthless? of course not. Its possible that the crops will actually gain value when other avenues of use open due to legalization. Clothing etc al. How much is the cotton crop worth? and as you said its easier on the soil, unlike cotton.
plus how could they charge anything other than 10$ for a dime bag.... it just would'nt make sense... they would have to change the name and we all know how good potheads are at remembering new information... ruins!
