The truth is the government put on a solid case

Unless you are an experienced lawyer and sat in the courtroom for the entire proceeding, you have no basis to say that. Much if not all of their case depended upon the testimony of a dirtball who worked for Manafort and who was facing serious time himself. So he blamed it all on Manafort. A jury could easily look at that skeptically and decide that in the context of a political witch hunt, they weren't going along.

The judge was not "anti prosecution." He knows what he is doing and wasn't putting up with the crap Mueller's lawyers tried to pull.
