There are A band EE after T2P. Meaning, it is not totally unambigous. There are also texts on A band regarding "4 bar". So such issues need resolving what is really meant. I suspect one should continue working and see what market tells you.
Could you please help me with ubicating the litterature you're refering to here please so I could read it ? I'm under a big amount of things that I'm reading, copying and analysing. That's just to save a bit of time in this rush moment. If you do not want, it's fine.
Any possibility you help me to locate where I must read/work to find the rule that says : here is required to degap, here is not required to degap ? It's a kind of same asking I just made above to @Simples . I think now you "know me", and can be sure each time you'll say "read this", "do that", "go back to " or anything, I will do so. I'm open to do any work required. But right now, working/reading/drawing on all fronts at the same time is a bit overwhelming. I feel a (very very) little bit more at ease with the VTP and log for the absolute first time, and this would be great if in this moment you helped me save a bit of time. With that said, if you don't want, fine for me.
Here's the A-Band.
Concerning this A-Band, I had some troubles with reading the original table from JH. Firstly could you please help me defining what the "=" with the greek delta symbol stands for ?
Secondly, can you please confirm that :
- in the 17-Ag row, the info contained in "Band Pass" column is "VEBO" ?
- I made an error while copying, and put in the 16 - A2-Af row, in the "Context" column : P2 >P1. I know that's for the cell below. I made this error while handdrawing because I could not read the info contained in this 16- row and "context" column"and it messed my mind. I see kind of "SUB IN LAT HV". Can you please help me with ID correctly was is written ?
- I read the info contained in the "Context' column of the 15-A1-Ae row as "2 consecutive 2T1's prior (just)". This does not make a lot sense for me at the moment. Can you please confirm what I interpreted and put in my handdrawn table is correct ? So, two T1 in a row ?

With the light blue TL, what else can be done other than fanning ? Except adding its corresponding LTL, I don't see anything. And this would be not "with the TL" but "in addition to the TL". Sorry, here, I don't know where you wanna take me to
If yourself use quotation marks around a word, it already means this word does not mean all you wanna say, or exactly what you wanna say, or just you wanna say etc. And being as english is not my native language, it's even harder to understand what you already showed that you did not define as properly as your mind has inside itself.
With that said, I would answer by a very hazardous interpreation : on bar 6 we have a, A-turn,, from increasing volume on XR to decreasing volume on XB.
While rereading your explanations, I feel like one time you talk about volume elements to put on the volume pane, other time you talk about EEs. This looses me.

I'm trying to perform VTP, so assigning one of the 5 volume elements to each bar appropriately. Adding EE, Turns etc are next part of the log, and not strictly part of the VTP. A VTP correctly performed leads to correctly ID EEs, which leads to correctly ID Turns which lead to correctly ID Trend types which lead to properly ID ftt's which lead to always (via an enormous iterative refinement) be in, and be in a hold/reversal fashion.
Bar 6's close does not XO prior RTL established from P1 and T1. So RTL is fanned. So I have to look in in the list of EE's and find a Bar after T2P < T1 *
From * is where I don't get the thing -> look in the EE list and find a bar after T2P < T1. So you're talking about an EE, whereas I'm searching one of the 5 volume element to assign to my 6th bar. Volume element or EE ?
I hope this will lead you to get clearly what I clearly miss haha

Your psyching yourself out again.
You’re gonna have to be ok with ambiguity and not having to know everything to move forward. You have to explore multiple interpretations simultaneously so that you can develop a flexibility of mind. This is a skill you’ll need when trading live.
Start doing ‘what if...’ and consider what happens when you take that line of reasoning further and whether it more closely matches what’s being observed compared to another thing. Have multiple logs, create multiple charts to map out different interpretations and see which one more closely fits the observation.
Search in the 10-Case thread for my recent charts and logs. Search for degap, degapping in that thread. Continue building the muscle and skill of relying on yourself to get your own answers.
The opposite of fanning is acceleration. You know this, you’ve done this, you have to deconstruct the self-imposed limitations you create. You just did a huge effort in building matrices of three bars where you explored fanning and acceleration, BM, and BO,T1’s.

Review your matrices. There are only certain cases of congruency when fanning is appropriate and makes more sense. There are cases where accelerating the TL brings more clarity.
In all cases there is;
WHN,
WCB,
WMCN
This stuff is hard, yet oh so simple. When Jack said a 5th grader with crayons could do it, he was speaking true.
When I got frustrated and not making progress, I would do a couple of different things;
Go back to a last known good. Rework from here examining my bias and do ‘what if’s’ to explore alternatives.
Go take a nap with the question in my mind.
Actively search with new keywords, also building long-tail keywords.
Pickup a printed thread and go to a coffee shop/library/park/cafe to change my surroundings and read something not on a computer.
Go take a walk in the woods. Sometimes pondering, most times just ‘being.’
Take a break and do the next fun thing.
Just remind yourself, you got this, answers will come.

ps. I know that you think it would just be easier if I or someone else just told you the correct answer. It might be easier but it is detrimental to building capacity.
When I worked through it, having helpful guidance was essential at times for sure but then there came a point where Jack had moved on (bless his soul) and there were never gonna be ‘correct answers’ other than what I could derive from the market and the artifacts of his work.
Something he always said is that your answers come from a partnership with the market and listening to what the market is telling you.
Be confident, everything will fall into place, everything is working out for you.

By the way, is there any tool/program/excel, etc to automate the process such as filling the mada log? If anyone has it, mind to share it with me?
If i know the mada logic, i may want write excel vba script to automate the log, based on inputs bar#, ohlcv values, and any other input which cannot be derived/calculated by the script, such as pt1,2,3,ftt,etc. The output can be annotated to chart manually, or use it directly for trading purpose if possible.
I feel it shouldn't be hard as it only has few parameters to use and jhm doesn't use complex maths, only +,-,/,*, boolean algebra, i guess.
Not fully automated because some values have to key in manually. Of course it might be enhanced to be fully auto.

If you do not, then I am wrong when I interpret your "you're psyching yourself out" as a negative thing, negative compared to the positiveness that reaching "the point where there is no reason not to be in the market at any time" embodies.
Each time you tell me "you're psyching yourself out", I hear "you're going away from the path, you're stressing yourself, and that's not good, take a break or you'll wreck yourself".
That is, for me, both a good and a bad thing. It's a bad thing in itself (going away from the path), but as you may know, nothing IS in itself, it only IS compared to what it is NOT. All is no thing but a relation. And then, it's also a good thing (going away from the path) cause it lets you warn me i'm doing so, which lets me operate the necessary temporary things to go back on the path with a better mindset.
So, in totality, all this is very positive to me, and thank you very much for that.

True. I did, of course, knew a TL can either be fanned or accelerated. Your question did just not make me think about this, because in this case, there was just no possibility to ACC the RTL. I didn't get chat you expected me to. Got you now. I just notice the answers are sometimes way more obvious and easy than I think -> that's what you surely call "psyching yourself out". The big question is -> how can one detect when he's doing so ?. I know this answer already

I know this. No need to be in a perfect mastering of any of JHM to know it. I know it. But I might add, that if you put any 5th grader in front of "how the work has been presented, exposed and detailed", then it becomes totally impossible for any of them to do so.
What would be closer to reality would be saying "if @Sprout , from his level of mastering and after all he's been through, explained to a 5th grader how to do the work and what work to do, he could do it"
