The interesting bit, looking at just volume, your suggestion is just as good!

Looking at some of the annotated volume elements as well, ie. PP4 (=OB), plus some attempts to fit into jigsaw puzzle of D and nD, so used a 'lill more than just volume bars. So good job, and possibly very helpful drill. Last turn was D, which makes "sense" in larger short channel (opposite of provided bars) for nD turn at bottom. Though WWT may also come. Also didn't know for sure if blue color was doji or IB, but may also be a giveaway of bias when no better.

Not entirely sure about the volume elements, but PP3 doesn't give turn here it seems. No match in Modrian, but maybe an alert? Extreme volu should anyways make one look both ways I believe, especially on BO, T1.

If possible, try to constrain to FS and volume elements/bands. PP's and EE's may make more sense afterwards (making all of this make sense, is homework for us all! ). Trends start with BM and P1 assigned.

Let's remember my intent was to use a pic (of volume) to maybe help answer the questions you asked. The exercise was an aside, geared to boosting the overall "know that you know" ethos that comes along with JHPV study.

Blue in my volume snips represent "Wait".

try to constrain to FS and volume elements/bands.

Be sure to adhere to FS "requirements"...
BOT1: Not an internal (UL requires more context such as bands), T1 is present, P2 is not.
BMREV: Penetration.

For the record, I am not a fan of FS. BOT1 is (somewhat) subjective as it is based on RTL, which includes fanning. BMREV applies to any fractal/container being annotated, whether or not that fractal/container is realistic or worthy of trading factoring price range and volatility into the geometry.

@tiddlywinks , may I ask how you handle BOT1s? It seems to occur frequently enough to completely ignore it. Btw, I noticed from the snippet that you have Not PP1 leading to Ac EE then followed by PP3. It seems Ac and PP3 both weren't marked as a reversal type of situation here for you? How do you decide whether to reverse and BM here or not?

I also didn't know you can have P1 -> A-band EE -> PP3. Using Previous P1s with a-band EE (which is a P1 but a new segment) to end up with PP type of EE. That's a mind opener!

PP3 = P1 -> P1 -> T1 ... it is Pre-Primary (PP).
A-band is activated once a P2 has been ID'd.

Ac is an A-band EE, BUT it is SPECIFIC to NOT PP1. Of note regarding this particular EE (Ac) is that there are 2 versions. The (main)differentiating requirement is with bands... version 1 (Ac) is valid for the PP-band P1->T1, while version 2 (Ac-2) has No-band as it is comprised of 4 P1's, P1 -> P1 -> P1 -> P1. Note as well, that internals have differing requirements amongst the 2 versions.

Not being a fan of BOT1 and BM does not mean they are not used. My usage is much less however than it is for, let me just call it "anal" practitioners. As you probably know, I am also a big user of containers. That is where/how my use of BOT1 and BM comes in. Once I have determined (or I am determining) the container (and points) that I am trading. My usage essentially filters out BOT1 and BM usage on sub and sub sub and sub sub sub fractals which I am not intentionally interested in trading, even *IF* they are tradable, from a trade-ability and money-wise viewpoint. Overall I get longer volume sequences.

"Containers" also refer to completely enveloping price with RTL and LTL, so that the correct volume pattern would "explain" all of price.

Containers as I am mentioning, are JH channels (tapes, traverses, forests, trees, branches, leaves, pigs, goats, horses, whatever). JH channels develop out of "the pattern", which in a purist sense IS the gaussian sequence, B2B2R2B R2R2B2R

Remember, the whole of JHPV is a structure... 10Case -> VTP -> EE -> Turns -> Trends.
VTP requires 10case. ID'ing EE's requires VTP, ID'ing turns requires ID'ing EEs. ID'ing trends requires ID'ing turns.

JH channels are more visual, and to good extent a more simplistic reference of the above structure, and comes with different nomenclature... rtl, ltl, point 1, point 2, point 3, ftt, fbo, etc.

The 2 "methods" can be used standalone and/or in combination dependent only on the users understanding of how the 2 methods correlate.

As an aside, a really fun and interesting exercise is to imagine the price pane. And then compare imagined versus real. Do this on your own setup with an isolated volume snip where your personal annotation methods were used. It's a very worthwhile exercise imo.

When corrected (replacing PP3 with T1), self-correction kicked-in 2 bars later! This stuff is frickin cool!! These were 2min bars, so 4 mins or less and all was on track!
