all i'm saying is, the armchair quarterbacking I've been hearing for this case has been unreasonable. It was a split second decision and luckily he made one of the "better ones" under the circumstances.

It was a good shoot, imo.

My point was not to say he was "wrong" in what he said, or didn't say.

As Harvey Levin discussed, it would have been better for him to yell, "DROP THE KNIFE!!" instead.

People may not assume that you are talking to them when you yell general things like "get down." It'll probably just cause people to turn, to look and see who you are yelling at.

I wasn't armchair quarterbacking; in the sense that I wasn't saying that he was wrong. I pointed out what the best response would have been, imo. Nor did I say anything unreasonable.

I didn't judge him.

I believe that girl originally had the knife. He was defending with his feet.

The second girl picked up the knife, that was next to he girl that the guy was trying to stomp.

If you look at one of the cars, the car behind the girl in pink, it looks like a situation where one party 'rolled up' on the house.

That was my observation too considering the girl in the Pink was just standing next to the passenger side of the door as if she was with someone that had been driving the car that rolled up on the group.

Based upon the reaction of the group after the shooting...seems to me someone else had the knife before the other girl picked up the knife.

Simply, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be another 2 charges from this ongoing investigation...

Assault charges on the guy that tried to stomp the girl that had fallen and/or assault charges against the girl that had fallen because she's the original knife holder that was being chased away.

Probably. But I wouldn't charge the guy that was stomping ... assuming the evidence suggests it was in self defense, or in defense of others.

The stomper might not have wanted to retreat, if it would leave the knife attacker free to attack others (family?).

The stomper might not have noticed that the knife had left the girls grip, which could explain his last stomp attempt.

The video showed the guy basically punted her in the head. He should absolutely be charged with assault. There's no chance the cop will be charged, nor should he be. Would have a taser been better in this situation? I'm not sure, but lethal force is an option for the cop here to protect somebody else's life. What a wild scene. I can't believe there are idiots on TV acting as if taking a knife to somebody is no big deal. What the fuck?
