MAGAtards kill sleeping black legal gun owner during home invasion

So your position on this has changed?
Not quite, you've seen the video, I'm showing what the cops are claiming.

Probably creates enough evidence to claim a valid shooting because if cops bust in and someone has a gun what other action would you expect the cops to take except to fire their weapon.

Shitty situation all around. I still say there is quite a lawsuit coming since the facts around the warrant and whow as actually in that apartment raise doubts.

I guess pointing to a cop's shin by happenstance as they encircle the guy is a "general direction". If only cops had the vic's trigger discipline:

No-knock warrants are dangerous business for everyone concerned, but we have them because sometimes knocking is more dangerous.

And the character assassination begins...

It's hard to call it "character assassination" when it is the Locke family that came out and stated the arrested teenager is Amir Locke's cousin.

"We can confirm that the charged teenager is Amir Locke's cousin," attorneys for Locke's family said in a statement Tuesday.

No excuse. Cops knew the job was dangerous when they took it.

Not specific to you, but generally speaking:

Typically, no knock warrants are a silly construct.

1. Allow US citizens to defend their home against invaders using deadly force.
2. Allow Police to break into citizens homes, with no notice, at any hour of night. (See a problem yet?)
3. If home owner shots/kills intruding police, they are a murderer of the worst kind. Defending home is no excuse this time.

How is a resident to know whether the intruders are really Police? Because the intruders yelled, "Police!"???

It's silly. It's always been silly. And I'm surprised it has taken this long for the media/public/politicians to speak on it. But I guess that's because this problem affects certain people a lot more than others.

cops are pussies, no knock warrants decrease the likelihood of a body armored cop w/a squad as backup to be killed while increasing the likelihood of a homeowner to be killed exponentially, all the while a home owner is stripped of exercising his 2nd amendment rights.

Yeah:

When detaining a typical citizen who didn't pull over right away; cop is likely to unnecessarily rough up the citizen.

BUT, when detaining a felon who didn't pull over right away; cop will talk him out of the car, and onto the ground, and gently cuff him.

They won't go running up to the felons door and try to snatch them out of the car with the seat belt still on; like they did that pregnant lady a while back.

There are some professional cops out there; but way too many are certified punks.

It's a difficult problem, but they should be announcing themselves as police when they enter the premises.

Maybe I was confusing.

My point was that announcing doesn't solve the problem.

Remember, everyone doesn't live in a crime free suburb.

Again, anyone can yell "POLICE!" at 3am, as they are kicking your door in.
Again, do you let the intruder get the drop on you because they yelled "POLICE!" at 3am?
Again, do you lower your weapon because they yelled "POLICE!" at 3am?

“It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer”

If US jurisprudence truly believes this, then no-knocks need to be banned.
