MAGAtards kill black man over air freshener

To address this post anyway, even though, as I immediately above stated, I never contended this.

Of course riots turn some people off. They also energize others.

And I suggest the people most angry at the protestors rioters would NOT otherwise "join the cause."

You don't need 100% of the people on board for riots to have an effect, as we've seen recently, and throughout history.

Likewise, you don't need 100% of citizens to agree, in order for a nation to go to war.

The primary goal of rioters is to effect change. A lesser goal, but still desirable, is to gain followers. No organization or gang or group has a membership consisting of 100% of the nation's citizens. All you need are enough.

The rioters don't care that everyone doesn't like them. None of them expect such a thing. In fact, they want you to be angry; because they are angry. And angry people do something about their anger.

Just remember the long history of the majority of the population in our nation demanding and obtaining the suppression of rioters by force.

Yet, here we are.

Just remember what will happen next if riots continue.

People will support peaceful protests and many will get onboard with the cause.

Riots only have the large majority demanding the burning, looting and violence be suppressed with force.

I don't know what the future holds.

Not sure why you are talking about war which is not the same thing is people protesting and then deciding to destroy shot and loot stores. 2 different things.

I am not talk ing about what riots have achieved but in all hindsight they have simply laid waste to places the protestors live and shop at for the most part.

Going forward after the summer of 2020, the rioting no longer serves the same purpose. Just like the Jan 6th riot, it always goes to far.

I would much rather see 1000 people gathered in a park screaming and making speeches than 100 people raising a target or throwing rocks and bottles at innocent people.

Again, my Devil's advocate goal post was that,

Regardless of what we want to see; we cannot know whether the riots throughout US history have, helped, or hurt, regarding the relations between minorities, police, and the judiciary. Because,

We can't go back in time, prevent those riots, and see how things would have turned out. For all we know,

Things might be much worse than they are now, for minorities, had they not rioted in the past.

All things are different, unless they are the same. My contention was not that they are the same; but that they share similarities.

A riot is a small group of people.
A nation is a large group of people.
Both are groups of people.

Consider the nation after the 9/11 attacks.

The nation didn't hold peaceful protests. Why not?

Consider the rioters after yet another Black or Brown person is killed by police.

But they must be peaceful? Why?

Who gets to decide when a people has had enough of fatal, discriminatory attacks?

Who gets to decide when a nation has had enough of fatal terrorist attacks?

EDIT: And who gets to decide what their responses should be?
