Good luck with your fantasy. Both characters in the Zimmerman / Trayvon situation are disreputable. The bottom line is that if you violently attack and start beating a man in his own neighborhood then you will likely be be shot if your victim has a legally concealed pistol.
It never would have gotten to the point of Martin having to defend himself against Zimmerman if Zimmerman wasnt stalking him in his car than getting out of his car and stalking him on foot,and you support that which is similar to what this racist cop did.
Im sure if someone was following your daughter in thier car than getting out of thier car to follow her you would support her right to defend herself against the stalker.
Good luck in your fantasy attempt to make this a parallel situation. In this particular situation a law enforcement officer (in fact the elected sheriff) called 911 and stated that at man threatened to kill him (which was a lie), This was a very different than the Zimmerman situation which involved a civilian calling 911 & where no lies were stated in his 911 call, nor did he engage Trayvon in a verbal confrontation (until Trayvon violently attacked him).
It should also be make clear that the police urge us to call 911 if we are worried about suspicious people in our neighborhood. In fact the police re-enforce this every year here when they come out to present at our neighborhood watch meeting. You should ALWAYS without exception call 911 when you are concerned for your safety or concerned about suspicious people.
As another note -- there is no law against you walking or driving in your neighborhood following someone. You are allowed to walk or drive wherever you want in your neighborhood. Is it wise for you to attempt to follow a suspicious person? No. But I will note that many of our crimes locally are solved because a civilian stepped up and followed a suspicious car (or people) -- this includes a recent bank robbery and recent shooting within the last month in our Raleigh/Durham area.
He stalked Martin in his car than got out of his car and continued stalking him on foot,Zimmerman was the engager while Martin was just trying to get away from him.
And where in the law is it against Zimmerman driving and walking in his neighborhood.
In most situations where a civilian follows a suspicious person while on with 911 and the police eventually arrest the person for crimes -- the civilian is hailed as a hero.
In this case Martin violently attacked Zimmerman -- and was shot while beating Zimmerman. The only crime here was Martin's violent felonious assault.
The cop lied to have a reason for doing what Zimmerman did to Martin,racially profile,stalk and harass a black person in his neighborhood so the situation is very similar with the cop only lying for his reason for doing so.
