Macd

Great work on the use of MACD on Brit Pound Romik. The monthly doesn't really have the signal that we like for really long term moves, but the RSI does. I like using bothn along with price. I realize you entered on weekly and will be able to correct if weekly or daily were to break down. Good job Romik!!

Similar divergence as in Nikkei's daily is now showing up in Qs weekly chart.

I understand the basics concept of how the moving average convergence/divergence is derived. I also understand the relationship between MACD and the MACD EMA. What I do not understand is the relationship the MACD and MACD EMA lines have with the divergence.

For instance, what difference does it make in the diagram of MSFT whether or not the MACD and MACD EMA lines are above or below the 0 divergence line?

Anyone able to help me out on this one?

Yes; my favorite way to USe MACD, for example using your chart.
Chart up a 1 year candle chart, ,use upper moving averages + ignore the bottom half, instead , use volume......................................................................................[2nd question ; see my top comment]

The resulting move typically has better potential for gain when the average lines are moving up from below zero when entering long and moving down from above zero when entering short.
