The truth is Kavanaugh cannot be seared without an investigation. Whether you like it or not his accuser is credible and we cannot let another Thomas on the bench.

There is no free lunch for either side with this week-investigation thing. There is a risk/reward calculation for both sides.

The risks to kavanaugh are well known and dont need to be discussed.

But the risks to the dems are considerable too. This is about the midterms and 2020 elections in case you have not gathered. Ford is just a pawn in their game. It is about as clears as can be that the rallying cry that the dems want to use for the midterms is that the republicans would not even give ford a hearing. That did not work out for them. Then they wanted to be able to have good footage of old white men beating the shit out of her. That did not work out. And now they are off on to wanting to be able to argue that they would not even give her an fbi investigation. You dont for a minute think they want it do you? You think they are going to be happy or unhappy if the investigation happens? Dont bullshit yourself. They are looking for campaign material. Kavanaugh is at risk but the dems are at risk that the pubs and trump get to say, once again, they conceded to her demands and also looked at all the avenetti loon stuff and the fbi found nothing.

Let me give you a little preview of coming events. If there is an investigation, then suddenly the dems will be back to arguing that the fbi just does investigations and provides evidence but that they do not reach conclusions. And round and round we go.

Blah blah blah. I can’t speak for all democrats but I will accept what the fbi finds in their interviews. And no I don’t expect it to go one way or the other and I don’t expect their investigation to be perfect fully conclusive. But it’s the best we can do with the credible allegations against Kavanaugh.

As to midterms and the impact whether good or bad, that is not how doing the right thing works. You do the right thing with the issue that’s in front of you then worry about the next thing when that comes up.

I'm not a big fan of pols of either party, but some of the dems really turn my stomach. Sen. Blumenthal has some gall to be lecturing anyone on respect. This lying dirtbag claimed to have served in Vietnam when in fact he was in the Reserves or Guard and never left home. That is the sort of thing that should be disqualifying for public life, not teen partying.

Sen. Feinstein has been an apologist for China her entire career. By an odd coincidence her tycoon husband has made a fortune doing deals in china, deals that no doubt were facilitated by the government there. Oh yeah, her "driver" ( or is "handler" more accurate?) for 20 years was a Chinese spy. But by all means, let's trust her to set the moral tone.

I'm no fan of Lindsey Graham. He's a pro open borders, neo con war hawk. He got it right yesterday though. He understood that his side needed someone to step up and confront evil head on and he was man enough to do it. Well done.

Corey Booker hitting Kaavanaugh for exactly the same thing he has admitted too, was the height of hyporisy.

You said that kavanaugh's nomination was "railroaded" through. I said it was one of the longest and most contentious hearings on record and that the accusations did not even come up during the hearing period- but instead it came up as a hit job afterwards when the hearings failed for the dems.

So, again, the word "railroaded" hardly applies. Lack of action on her part or the dems part during the scheduled hearing process does not constitute an emergency on the part of others, nor is it railroading anyone to require them to work with the hearing rather than creating fake emergencies as to why extra innings for them are required because their score is not looking good.

If the investigation of some sort occurs for a week- chances are good- there is absolutely zero chance that the dems will not see something that requires more time. Fake process to go with fake accusations for fake reasons. The reasons relate to elections. None of the dems give a shiite about Ford or Ramirez and so on. They are just pawns being used to create campaign issues.
