Mark Judge, a high school friend of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairmen Chuck Grassley and ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Thursday again denying witnessing an assault on Christine Blasey Ford or any such action by Kavanaugh.
Ford claims Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a "gathering" during their high school years when she was 15 and Kavanaugh was 17, though she cannot identify the location nor when the alleged event happened.
Under penalty of felony, Judge again denied the accusations made by Ford. "I do not recall the events described by Dr. Ford in her testimony before the US Senate Judiciary Committee today. I never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes," reads the signed letter.
As highlighted by Kavanaugh during Thursday's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Judge avoids public speaking since, as a recovering alcoholic and cancer survivor, he sufferers from intense anxiety and depression.
"As I stated in my attorney, Barbara Van Gelder's September 18, 2018, letter, I did not ask to be involved in this matter nor did anyone ask me to be involved," says Judge. "We have told the Committee that I do not want to comment about these events publicly. As a recovering alcoholic and a cancer survivor, I have struggled with depression and anxiety. As a result, I avoid public speaking."
Senate Democrats urged on Thursday that Judge be subpoenaed to answer questions about the uncorroborated and refuted allegations against Kavanaugh. Their subpoena request was denied on Friday morning. "Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee rejected an effort by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) to subpoena Mark Judge in a party line vote," reports The Hill.
Still grandstanding, several Senate Democrats walked out of a Committee meeting on Kavanaugh to make a beeline for the cameras.

I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on forgetting some details.... but there is one part that doesn't add up and bothers me.
After the alleged incident which she so vividly recalls.... how did she get home after she ran out into the street? That would be something she would not forget... because its a huge part of the incident. And that would also nail down a corroborating witness too. She should remember that. She's either lying or it wasn't Cavanaugh and she doesn't want the driver questioned.
And even more to that point... remember.... this was before cell phones (for kids at least). This is a big missing part of her story. Who's landline did she use and who did she call? Think about it. Remember she said "she ran down the steps and out the front door". And it was too far to walk home. 8 miles. This would not be lost in the fog of time, she can remember they "pinballed" down the steps, but she doesn't remember who picked her up or who she called 5 minutes later to drive her home? Hmmmm.

Where can I see these affidavits? I didn't realize any of that had been made available to the public yet. You make it sound as though there are affidavits from other than Ford, Judge and Kavanaugh stating; "the events described by Ford involving Kavanaugh never happened with them as witnesses." You have been implying several witnesses haven't you? But according to Fords testimony there is only one witness to the alleged assault. That would be, Judge. There is one accused, Kavanaugh. And there is one victim, Ford. You or I, or anyone besides Judge, could make the statement above as an affidavit, no problem: "The events described by Ford involving Kavanaugh never happened with [me] as [a] witness." But that would be ridiculous.
Now if Judge signed a sworn affidavit with those exact words, I'd like to see it. It think he might have. But if a sworn affidavit from Judge exists, why then did Grassley keep referring to two letters, only one signed by Judge. Why didn't he mention the affidavit? Why didn't Leahy in his long statement this morning mention an affidavit from Judge, instead of only the letters? An affidavit would be far more powerful than the letters. Even more compelling would be Judges cross examination under oath. I looked for a sworn affidavit from Judge, but couldn't find one. All I could find was hearsay. Now I want to block out the grandstanding, the arm waving, the accusations, the shouting, the rude interruptions, and go to the meat of the issue. Who is telling the Truth? Both Kavanaugh and Ford can't be correct. One of them is lying. I want the truth. Lets concentrate on what we know for sure and can confirm, and if we are uncertain, let's say so. ..

The committee did not get to see a lot of things considering Kavanaugh has been railroaded through.
The evidence is sufficient. I’m sure you have summer memories from your teenage years you can’t pinpoint the date and exact location of. Maybe a concert or klan rally you really enjoyed. No?
Railroaded? Hardly. One of the longest and most contentious hearings in history.
Yet, even with the very lengthy hearing process, the hit job about Ford did not come up until after the hearing. Note, that Feinstein had the info since July 20 so it was not a matter of late breaking information. It was withheld as another "insurance policy" in case Kavanaugh did too well at the hearings- which he did.
