Should we mock every politician who had health issues and needed to take time off campaigning or out of office to heal? I can name many politicians in history who took time off to address health issues. It is in no way a disqualifier from office.
BTW — Fetterman seems to be doing well in the video I posted which includes segments of his recent rally. Have a watch.
His campaign - not mine and I think you have to evaluate the office that the potentially ill or recovered person is running for. One could probably easily conclude that if a Senator raises some serious concerns about their long term viability that the Senate is just a talky-talky job and so there is no big risk to anything as long as they can press a button and vote.
However, if a person is running for president and loses two months on the trail then it is not necessarily mocking them to think long and hard about what you are getting into. True, Bernie had a heart attack, but also true, he got up in running again VERY quickly so it did not hurt him. UsualTard keeps reminding me that he is the right man for PA no matter what and I agree that Senator is not that critical job. Go for it. The goal is just to have a dem in the position for many. If he is able to sit up and take fluids, well he exceeds job expectations. For president people are a little more cautious these days, especiall given the mess we are in now with our Cardboard Cut-Out President.
