Looks like the GOP Senate races are not going well

No. The worst score ever was in 2008.

Oh great, you get your extra potato by defending your man by saying that it is only the worst since 2008.

In fairness to me and others who are using their memory rather than google, Joe has so many low scores I need an app on my desktop to follow them. It may be that I was thinking that he had the lowest approval rating ever in which case you will rise to defend him by saying that it is actually just since Grover Cleveland.

Wayyy to go Comrade. You da man.

We honestly won’t have a good idea until people vote in November. Right now enthusiasm is tracking pretty paltry for both parties and about even. I am starting to think some Republican voters have sort of pulled back after Dobbs.

IMO it is a combination of negative perceptions related to both parties... most likely a good portion of the people who think the country is going in the wrong direction will blame both Republicans and Democrats. Many would likely associate particular issues with each party; for example blaming inflation on Biden & Democrats while blaming the Big Lie undermining democracy on Trump & Republicans. The question in November is what issues are at the top of the list (e.g. does the economy recover or slide) and how important are the issues in turning out voters.

Trump is 100% correct about McConnell.

Seriously who says that?

Candidate problem? We'll struggle to flip senate?
Even if you think it, you don't say it.

Politics is a marketing/enthusiasm game, not a logical game idiot.

Its like he's saying, stay home voters, not worth it.

Epic Moron

Im just more of a stickler for accuracy than anything. Don’t take it personally.

We’ll see. I tend to lean on there’s an error rate in these polls that favors republicans. Democrats are still going to eat shit for inflation.

Yeh, well, that's one way to put it.

The other way is that I accurately pointed out what a dud Biden is by any measure or poll and you googled around to go anal and try to make it go away. Your usual crabwalk approach. People point out how Biden is the biggest turd in toilet bowl historically and you being "a stickler for accuracy" google around and prove that he is only the second biggest turd. Whatever. It's all you got.

As I consistently point out, if you were a doctor you would be "right" about everything, except all your patients would die. You would defend yourself by saying that that is not true, only 98% die.

Just try to be more accurate in the future.

McConnell called out the low quality GOP Senate candidates being supported by Trump such as Oz, Walker, and others. It's pretty clear that the Republicans are unlikely to retake the Senate with this slate of nutcase candidates --- plus the news that nearly all the Republican Senatorial Campaign Funds have been grifted and are missing. Of course, this is the response by Trump to McConnell's insights -- how eloquent & thoughtful of Donald.

Donald Trump launched a furious attack on 'broken down hack' Mitch McConnell and his 'crazy wife' in bust-up over GOP Senate candidates

  • Trump lashed out at McConnell after he said the GOP might struggle to flip the Senate.
  • Trump said McConnell was a "broken down hack politician" who should support GOP Senate hopefuls.
  • The former president said McConnell should spend less time "helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China."
Former President Donald Trump has launched a furious attack on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a dispute over the GOP Senate mid-term campaign.

Trump said the senior senator from Kentucky should spend more time and money helping Republican Senate candidates get elected and "less time helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China."

"Why do Republicans Senators allow a broken down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to openly disparage hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

McConnell has drawn ire from Trump after he said that Republicans will face a tough task in flipping the Senate majority, citing "candidate quality."

Recent polling has shown that GOP nominees in the nation's most closely contested states are struggling to keep up.

This includes Trump-backed candidates Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania, JD Vance in Ohio, and Herschel Walker in Georgia.

Trump and McConnell, who were once firm allies, have been publicly feuding since Trump's 2020 election loss.

McConnell angered Trump after appearing to accept Joe Biden's victory and condemning the former president for being "practically and morally responsible" for the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that McConnell's comments about GOP Senate candidates were "an affront to honor and to leadership."

The former president also made a disparaging comment about McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, who served as Trump's Transportation Secretary and was one of the first Cabinet officials to resign after the Capitol riot. She is reported to have spoken to the House January 6 panel earlier this month.

Trump has previously drawn attention to Chao's business ties to China.

Chao's family owns a shipping company that transports material to and from China, and a government watchdog has previously alleged that she used her office's staff and resources to support the business.

Despite their fraught relationship, McConnell has said he would still support Trump as the party's 2024 nominee.
