Look like ET could not keep many old members actively posting anymore. Why?

I think as one's knowledge gets to a certain desired area, you simple don't care to share, taken too long to get there. And if you do say something, all want your stats or say negative b.s.. Gets real old, and couple that have quit posting told me before they left, they tired of defending themselves.

Does it matter if trades are singles or homeruns? If you look at Pete Rose, he was a singles/doubles hitter, over .300 hitter, hardly ever hit a home run, but one heck of a hitter.

I'm not secretly grateful, I'm pretty openly grateful for the insights, answers, and history lessons from people like sle, fsu, and Bob although Bob at least getting compensated in a way for his content (hopefully!). Thanks guys.
I am blushing here. You're welcome :)

It certainly makes no sense going around discussing the details of the actual strategies but there is so much common knowledge/wisdom type stuff that could be easily shared.

There is no strategy only Zuul.

All you're doing is guessing from a negative bias perspective.
You made a comment recently, with a certain swagger, that you find it valuable, necessary or whatever to occasionally repeat your stance on trolls, ...in threads confined to chit chat, politics and religion. Do you remember your answer?

Do you remember ignoring the question that followed? The question which asked for your position on trolls in trading related threads?

Do you remember writing a book review in which you said highly recommended?

OK , realize that many come here to hear what traders and financial professionals have to say.
The reason is that I /we are not the aforementioned.
I cant say that 20, 50 or 90 percent are in this camp but I think its a substantial %.

i believe that those like GAT and SLE, to name a couple , realize that. The conversations these folks decide to have , and do have , with their striving peers are viewed by... well...how many Baron? Most, are probably secretly, grateful for this Imformation that was not available in this format 20 years ago.
I take solace that I am amongst the unwashed masses contributing clicks to keep the cogs moving..
Keep talking ladies and gents.

Trading forums is imo quite different than other kinds of public forums.

Evert trader actually is against each other, in this zero-sum game. One's loss is another's gain.

Also every trader can have very diverse ways of trading approach and instrument. Whatever advice could be not only counter-productive, many times could be even very wrong or damaging.

But who is the one who should be going to correct others' problematic advice. Moderators???

Are the moderators knowledgeable enough to correct wrong/damaging advice? While many others are enjoying them from making profit out from their opponents equipped with inferior advice!?

Or, the fact is someone intentionally posts a nonsense answer in order to learn from sound feedback from others who would otherwise not saying anything proactively! It's all about trading forums - A most Competitive game!

Besides, vendors and some hidden vendors and their allies are protecting each other from rational discussion, just like the Politics forum. No matter which forum you post.

... ...

Because it's a natural winner-take-all market. Everyone gravitates to the most liquid contract.

Yes. The focus should be on the positive, to encourage high-value members -- ideally "real names" who are verifiably active in the financial industry.

It's very silly to post things under your real name because that encourages dishonest content. For example these individuals would have friends working in banks caught doing something dirty, of course they would not post anything critical under their real names - so you'd be left with posts where people pat each other on the back but don't mean any of it.
Under an alias you can say what you really think, without spending a lot of time worrying about who you might offend. That's why Facebook for many, like myself, is useless for most things.

Your questions have absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread.
