My understanding is that the U.S. is the only country that taxes

it's citzen's earnings while they are residing in a foreign country.

Back on the topic.You are and EEC resident and you want to avoid taxes by living on a boat.You are not really rich so you can afford only one boat and you cant afford places like Monaco.So you sell up,move on board and navigate out of EEC waters.Problem is,if you still want to trade,how do you do it.Harbours with wireless internet are still rare.So to get a phone line you need to be docked in a marina and this situation is also rare in the less civilised world outside the EEC.Maybe there is a place.One of the adriatic countries?Israel?Turkey?Cyprus?Is Malta in the EEC?Maybe you find a place but then you learn they will tax you if you dont move on in 180 days.So you need a second place to go.Private yachts move relatively slowly.You could spend days,if not weeks,disconected.The weather could play hell with your moves.All this will play hell with your trading.So I dont think a boat is practical for a trader.
 
As I have already mentioned you could trade,not scalp,using a mobile satelite dish on a mobile home.I am pretty sure motosat dishes are available in Europe,especially in Germany.So you buy a rig,sign up for satelite service in Germany and then drive into eastern Europe and find a nice resort to live.

Yes, if you are constantly on the move with your boat, then it would work. My original plan was to get a boat and travel between Germany, France and Netherland, staying no longer than 180 days in each one.
I still dont know where one would be registered in this example.

But as trading taxes here have recently been reduced to an acceptable 20%, i will stay put for a little longer.
25% is my border line. If they move it above that mark ( again ), Laffer will strike and they lose me as a tax payer.

For me taxes are a couple more green zeros on the roulette wheel that traders have to overcome.
Another big reason why only a few make it.
 
Living in Monaco is cheaper than living on a boat (130m² appartment can be renbdte for about 5000 euro a month).
Unless you talk about an inflatable rubber boat.

Even a small yacht with a little comfort will cost you easily 2 million euros; and then i don't talk about fuel, insurance, staff, maintenance.........
