Peter summed the day up - sod's law - we had technical issues in the morning which were resolved around lunchtime - thus missing the bulk of the day and a few small losses. Did a few trades and ended up down for the day which was frustrating but in actuality was not too deterred given all the other issues we had to deal with today.

Hopefully today wasn't the bulk of the cover rally ahead of the BoE and ECB.

Unfortunately today was one of those days missed some great setups by 1-3 pips that were impulse moves thereafter - just the two trades for +5 and -5. Was out of the office from morning on. Should be all caught up and look forward to two big potential days - ECb & MPC tomorrow and US NFP Friday.

Lack of Reason

Well well a couple of really nice trades to start the day a plus 13 and a plus 30 on the euro a plus 5 on the Aussie and then a lack of reason from perfect KnovaWave setups. Note the Aussie buy at .7276 I exited .7278 because of lack of impulse!!!! We had a perfect PG/PL on the Aussie and PG on the Euro also. Then shorted twice at .78 and .79 for losses of .06 and .04 prempting a breakdown which never happened. Very rarely I do this because of the low probability - very agitated in this trade and lack of reason - also did not do the Euro spit at the same time at 1.2199 - so that lack of reason and therefore discipline was costly lost 8 pips when should have made around 20-30 on both (though easy in hindight I have Bob's exits and entries to go on).

Though I have said many times trading is an art for 10-20% not science for that wave element - on a scientific/probability rationale for the main or 80% of the time. Here is a classic example. If we accept ok break short is fine didn't work out then the glaring error is when do you put the long back on? The answer is no because of overtrading possibilities.

Not to sound churlish all this as am still up very nicely for the day the point is our whole plan is one of probablities and today that was let down - I am pleased that Bob didn't waver and gott he just rewards - just underlies the strength in discipline.

Just a few trades for me after NFP - a beautiful set up off +2/8 and 8-8 on different time series also a 20 spit. Had to wiz off straight after to an appointment so unfortunately didn't maintain the short -only had the pleasure of watching a perfect impulse off the Murrey/KnovaWave set up. Will post a chart on it and how it finished up in a little while.

Oh well one of those week's where the dreaded cold gott he best of me but still finished up ahead. Look forward to another week - but healthier sure does make a difference!

Here is the chart I promised :)

The Euro has had a classic sell off from the +2-8 and 80-20 spit in a measured 4-8 move right to Friday's low which was 50% of the move up on this wave count.

Another great example of fib retracement of Murrey or Gann Timing. From here the keys are the two Fib bands - 38% above and 61.8% below. Log in to check out the chart and see the 50% was the close for the week.

Just a few trades today - missed a great 80/20 spit on the Euro at 23 this morning by 1 pip and didn't chase :( and had to wait for a nice Aussie set up - a few chops on the Euro and a perfect Aussie Murrey +2/8 on the order grid gave us a nice fill got out on a trailing stop for 20 pips - just a tad tight. nice result overall - all on the Aussie

A day of patience was needed today - some great entries but patience was amiss - I let external factors bother me today - like inane signal providers trying to flog their wares and then people not getting off the phone when asked to (guess I need some rude boots) calling at probably our busiest time to the trading desk - something that really gets my goat as you try to be nice but some people just don't appreciate what we are doing and the discipline required for the market. Oh well not the time to go on about it . Just have to chop the bother out of the trading day!

One thing I noticed is that the great second spits came through lunch today - I will watch to see if a trend or not.

Today was two days - up until the NY clsoe and then the square up then.

Just two easy setups on the Aussie on the Euro keeping me ina pensive mood after a relaxing Easter break - up 15 pips on mimimal risk and just using the day to feel the market and the waves.

Then part two starts disorder.

Wild stops went off where orders in the USDJPY got hit and stops/slippage was quick - normally don't trade that NY to NZ session as no liquidity and can get whipped - lulled into a comfort zone and forgot that can go nuts there.

At the end of the day;

Profit = 18 pips

Feel relieved with that and know I should shut up shop at 2 pm and waited for Asia.

Every now and then need a shock to remind you just who brutal this market can be and why I trade in and on liquidity sessions. :)

Opened up with two quick trades to be up 22 pips then spent the rest of the day getting stopped too close - sold the USDJPY at the top and bought EURUSD nesr the lows to be chopped on the rampant EURJPY too causing spike stops - too tight on reflection as we start to enter the choppiness that usually surrounds major moves. One of those days that could have been :( Am testing some +/- 3/8 stops on +/1 2/8 impulse entries to help alleviate the early exits.

Hu visits Bush tomorrow so expect more EURJPY silliness :)
