No more trades then the two near misses from the Am had some sell orders on dollaryen and euro yen at the fulcrums but short by one pip and 6 pips - wasn't chasing ona Monday afternoon ahead of Ben Bernanke :)

One of those days - first negative for a while sadly.

Certainly hard work the market at the moment - the Yen is at it's yippy best as the Bush/Hu meeting draws near. Again we await a break of the ranges so we can trade more with a discernable trend and catch more breaks. At the moment we are getting fast breaks on seperate days but still within a corrective framwork on the majors - though of course a different story on the carry trades.

A good question was asked of me - do you do swing trades? The answer to that is yes - but I need to be out of the corrective waves - that is we are in a wave 1, 3 or 5 - otherwise we will get stopped out most likely in corrective chop. The Signals Grid Matrix is designed to capture this and alert us to wave shifts. An example is the AUD today.

The key I believe is to treat each position from a defendable position it is hard to defend the indefensible! That is the corrective wave in one's sleep!

Looks like I shut up shop too early - we recognised the inside outday on the CHF, EUR & JPY but closed up shop for the weekend - Aussie and Kiwi so weak - took the Aussie long which failed the first time rather than EUR and JPY which both ripped.

Profit = 23 pips

Not a bad week considering I think it was the msot difficult for a long, long time.

Well - been a long time that have gone a full 12 hour trading day without a FX trade - there is a few that set up but not enough confluence to justify the risk reward. Am quite amazed that Bernanke's first Fed meeting as boss has had this affect. IFO is also out in Germany tomorrow so we should get something tomorrow before the FOMC announcement.

The DAX traded well - both Bob and Orbit took some nice meat off that whilst the FX market waddled sideways. A reason why we look at it to stop over trading and to maximise equity. Myself I spent the day watching reruns of Commonwealth Games gold medal highlights on FOX Sports in the background waiting for the setups that never came.

The positive was I am very pleased with my discipline to just say no - sometimes the hardest thing for a trade to do. Often the trades you never do are your best!

Much nicer day - as expected IFO broke the shackles and got a perfect continuation pattern on EUR to start the day off. Got run over on my first Dollar Yen trade - seems to be the norm lately with the Hu-Bush meeting jitters.

Was very jumpy as wide spreads took hold post Bernanke's first Fed meeting in charge. Got out too early on an Auusie and Dolalr Yen trade as spreads widened - trading too defensively there which could have really added to the day. Have to say I can't recall having to trade so guarded.

Will start posting a few charts on the blog and traderscommunity again as time permits.

A nice start but then little more ais the wave again is one of correction making it one that I tend to stay out of. Best trade this afternoon was tnt's buy of dollar swiss off the 80 spit - nice work :)

Decent Day - big move during lunch that unfortunately missed and didn't chase offers on inital major thrust higher. Blew through the initial JPY and EUR +2 and -2 trade which told us we were in for something big perhaps. Was all this because of the Solar eclipse? Back in the news is dollar allocation with UAE into the Euro - hardly a surprise after the P&O ports mess. Expect more here -Japanese repatriation ends tomorrow - just the Bush-Hu Summit and rumors of Snow left for the silly bugger moves.

A fairly atypical Monday;

Euro overshot a few times - seems to be still in that hard place between impulse and continuation. Yen trade worked perfectly off Murrey 80/20 confluence with no jig. Interesting on Aussie during the US session missed the range by 2 pips both sides (40 pips) - first time I can recall stops not run on the extremes in the NY zone for a while. Did a few trades there as Sydney opened one an order of 0/8 then a rebuy of the 20. I expect more volatility as we have a good data week with MPC, ECB and US jobs of course.

Did I mention the market was flat for ever with the odd inexplicable rip?
