Unfortunately missed a few fills by a few pips - with just the one trade for a one pip result. Hardly any move from yesterday meant no confluence setups for the day - avoided JPY and JPY crosses as Pre BoJ affects led to an indirect JPY marketplace.

I would rate today as one of the most frustrating I can recall - what started off nicely with a quick EURUSD trade that was clinical and by the book became one of frustration. Today we had one of the biggest days of the Forex month - the US Trade deficit - it turned out to crack another record - the result a range of barely 20 pips on the euro all day.

Even more confusing was the fact the BoJ made one of their biggest decisions in eons with their new policy with ending the 'super ease'.

The difficulty of the day was the lack of followthrough of the day as it sat between - well chopped between 22 and 6 and confusing ly under the 4/8 18 minute and above the -2-8 5 min - and under the key ma's - the statistical odds of this phenomena to last for a whoel session are very slim - let alone on a day with heavy fundamental news and the day for a US jobs report.

Hence teo 7 pip losers and a near third at the end.

More significantly an overemphasis on eurusd activity caused me to miss opportunities on the yen in particular - the USDJPY, EURJPY & AUDJPY which were all classical KnovaWave plays.

The lesson is clear over the past few weeks whereby the eurusd has dragged one into it's realm of inertia - tomorrow is a huge data day - one would expect this pennant to play out. For me I know this we need to focus on other instruments and allow for more timely trails.

Indeed I can best explain by the market wave has influenced the rationale - thankfully I have realised it early :)

Well a follow up from yesterday - I decided not to trade the Euro after yesterday's market - jsut one on it on a possible wave 3 play that lost 5 pips.

Not many trades after being stopped in the whip and sticking to staying out of Friday as much as possible.

A big reversal on Friday afternoon to be above NFP levels sets up an interesting Monday and tells us the Euro holds up again on the weekly. Key lines in the sand drawn on dollar high rallies. Interesting times with all the political strife in the US now in the mix.

Well it is Monday and the euro has been an abject lesson in slop - today a few decent set ups though to be fair on it - just higher risk so din't take them a nice lunch time retest of the 80/20 break zone at 28 set up for the afternoon's run up to test the 240 50 but alas at the juncture lunchtime beckoned -a feature of the euro of late - failed follow through in depth and skips in thin times. This is typical of corrective waves as stop hunting becomes the norm.

The only winners today where 80 and 20 trades on the CHF and JPY. Though finished up 4 pips at days end it was one of typical Monday frustration as work towards trading a wider range outside the eurusd for impulses awaits (well we can live in hope after all can't we?)

A nice day - stuck to my guns and got away from the euro pip daze we talked about! Though I missed two really nice setups - a JPY at 117.28 and a EUR buy at 1.1956 after we called, placed but never executed that would have really got us rocking - nevertheless am very pleased with the result of discipline elsewhere.

The big question is this an impulsive move in the euro and yen or just ranges again - will be an interesting few sessions ahead.

So close yet so far - just two trades this morning with perfect 80/20 set ups on the EuroYen and USDJPY. I was stopped out on both 2-3 pips from the low before huge 70 + rallies on both with hardly drawing breath. Unfortunately i was out of the office so wasn't able to rebuy - I didn't do it to be reminded ona Monday though how frustrating it can be. For the record we are down 12 pips instead of being plus 150 or so. Too tight on my stops in absentia is the obvious conclusion - though this is classic Johnny Hindsight!

Some times they stick and sometimes they don't .......................
