Researchers overwhelmingly agree that the main cause of recent global warming is the addition of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere (primarily carbon dioxide) through the burning of fossil fuels. Greenhouse gases warm the climate by allowing sunlight to reach Earth but absorbing radiation from Earth before it escapes to space. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased every year for more than 60 years; it is now about 30% greater than it was in the 1950s.

Some impacts of our warming climate are global. This includes sea level, which is rising around the world as glaciers melt and the oceans warm and expand. Other effects of global warming vary by region and season. Temperatures are rising especially fast in the Arctic, where the rapid loss of sea ice and thawing of permafrost has major implications for people, wildlife and ecosystems.

Global warming affects moisture as well as temperature. As our warming climate causes more water to evaporate from the oceans, the heaviest rains and snows are becoming even heavier in many parts of the world. Meanwhile, higher temperatures exacerbate the impacts of drought by pulling more moisture from already-dry soils and plants.

Extreme weather events such as tornadoes and tropical cyclones have a great deal of natural variation, so it is more difficult to establish how they may be affected by climate change in the coming years and decades. This continues to be an active area of research.

The amount of climate change in our future depends largely on how much additional greenhouse gas is added to the atmosphere. We will need to adapt to some changes that are already “baked into the system.” More extreme changes may be avoidable to the extent that the growth in greenhouse emissions can be reduced.

Research cannot tell us how quickly society will act to cut greenhouse emissions. However, research can help reduce some of our other uncertainties around climate change, as scientists unravel more of the complexity in our sun/earth/ocean/atmosphere system.

No publishing climate scientist on earth denies man made global warming. The debate among the experts has been over long ago.
 
What we are looking at. The upper range of it.
Along with accelerating sea level rise, stronger storms, greater drought, more heat waves, more flooding, longer deeper cold spells in winter, species extinctions etc etc.

Manmade and natural systems are adapted for certain conditions. When those conditions rapidly change those systems suffer.

Temperatures, CO2 levels have changed many times up and down, way outside the levels we are seeing today all without the help of mankind. But this time we're told it's different so give us your money to stop it or we're doomed.

Give us a break, just say hey, don't trash the planet instead of this orchestrated bullshit.

We'll see what happens in a few years, my money's on temps coming down fast, as natural forces trump (sorry for the pun:D) mans involvement.

Temperature changes precede CO2 level changes throughout history. This fact by itself completely debunks the man made global warming myth.

Mankind has never lived with CO2 levels this high. CO2 is a greenhouse gas. That's an undeniable fact of physics.

RIsing temps caused CO2 to rise which caused temps to rise further. It's called a feedback loop. Now CO2 is putting into the air by us, which is causing temps to rise. Comprende? Do we need a picture book ?

The head of the UN’s environmental body has resigned after an audit found that he had claimed nearly $500,000 in travel expenses in under two years.

Erik Solheim’s frequent flying prompted accusations that he risked damaging the reputation of the UN Environment Program (UNEP), which calls for reductions in emissions to prevent climate change. Some countries were said to have held back funding from the body because they were unhappy with his conduct, risking undermining its finances.

The audit had questioned the need for such extensive travel over 22 months by the former environment minister of Norway at a time when UNEP was struggling with shrinking budgets.

The report said that this was a “reputation risk” for an organisation dedicated to fighting climate change

You have fallen behind. The narrative has changed to global cooling causes climate change. In addition, the Sun gets a mulligan regarding climate change as it would be unfair to assign blame to an object that does not know better. Therefore, the United States should cease all fossil fuel consumption in order to get ahead of the curve for when the current period of global cooling ends.

It is through understanding the information above that one can appreciate the creative superiority the Left has over us mere mortals.
