Cept.. for they do appear to shed virus and infect adults even if their R value is lower. Touchy, clingy little things kids. Most are somewhat symptomatic, just 16 - 45% or so in a recent JAMA study were asymptomatic, but thats still over half that are.
Now this is a problem for any parents, if you have a nuclear family this is a major problem.
