LGBT - Terror

so if these stats are correct it seems the states at the top of conduits charts need more guns to continue this trend of lower homicide rates.

Your CDC charts and conduits charts are looking at different things. It is not gun ownership that lowers homicide rate it is stricter gun laws.. Stricter gun laws are compatible with higher ownership, as Hawaii data shows. The trend has been toward tightened gun laws and higher gun ownership nationally!
The CDC charts do not show cause they only show correlation.

The important charts for you are the first one Conduit posted in conjunction with a chart showing gun ownership increasing. That will explain nicely what you are seeing in the CDC charts.

It looks like perhaps the killer was gay and was perhaps embracing Islamic fundamentalism to help absolve or eliminate his gay tendencies.

Evidence is building from a variety of sources that Orlando jihadi Omar Mateen, who murdered 49 people at gay nightclub Pulse, was himself gay, or had “gay tendencies,” as his ex-wife put it. Strangely, the ex-wife claims FBI agents asked her not to share this detail with the media.
That report comes from the New York Post, which in turn reports on an interview Sitora Yusufiy gave a Brazilian TV station, with her current fiancé translating her remarks into Portuguese. According to Yusufiy, who was married to Mateen for three months in 2009, the Orlando murderer had “gay tendencies,” and was once called “gay” by his father in her presence.

Most remarkably, Yusufiy said “the FBI asked her not to tell this to the American media.”

...
Thank you for this post. I think it very likely that the window into Mateens psyche that we seek is provided now by this testimony of his ex-wife. The underlying lesson here is how dangerous and futile it is to teach against basic human nature; how useless and dangerous it is to turn a blind eye to the wide spectrum of human sexuality. This is one of the great failings of some of the most important ancient religions still practiced today. Both the Christian and Muslim religions are dangerous in this respect, but the Christian less so, as Christians, in general, have learned to largely ignored those sections of their Bible that are out of step with modern reality. Islam, on the other hand, is still mired in century old beliefs. Both religions are, at their roots, barbaric and primitive. Education and scientific enlightenment, however, has hugely reduced the barbarism of Christianity, but has had much less affect, so far , on Islam. In time, and with enough exposure to the modern world, Islamic and Christian beliefs will merge and be absorbed into modern culture and reality; the barbarism and nonsensical teachings of the Christian Old Testament and the Koran will be seen as historical footnotes, and paid little heed. Likely all of us today will be dead before that happens. It is a hideously slow process.

It should be evident now that you can't argue with some even with hard cold facts.

Maybe the reality is that most who call themselves Christians are only Christians by name. They don't care nor follow any of the commandments. I know countless devoted Christians and they have loving families, they don't engage in adulterous affairs, they don't fuck around, and they deal with problems in their life with a servant attitude. Nothing is more attractive in my eyes than someone who understands that life does not circulate around him but that he has a place and takes the responsibilities given to him in an honest and responsible manner. I would claim that 80-90 percent of all "Christians" in the US are fake and live by their own rules and standards rather than by biblical standards. Same applies to outside the US. Huge difference is that Jesus Preached love to others regardless of their attitudes whereas Islam teaches hatred. In that I fully understand the emotions in the US towards Muslims at the moment. I claim a real and devoted Muslim cannot live in peace among those of other believes. True Christians can.

But I also believe stricter gun laws should be dealt with separately. Both are important issues and both warrant an honest discussion. Unfortunately most in this thread are dishonest in their arguments to start with. They approach life with the "gimme gimme gimme attitude". As long as they can maximize their own gain the game is fair. If they sense they have to compromise in the slightest they are get all wound up and irrational. I think that is a fact as well and not just an opinion.

As I stated elsewhere, Islam's lack of progressiveness can be attributed to one major historical event: The Islam king(s) forbade the printing press around the same time that the west (Christians) embraced it. We had the enlightenment. [Many of them] are stuck in the 15th century.

If the Christians had made the same mistake, we would still be doing this:

PLEASE MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO LEARN HISTORY!

The Crusades were in response to Islam trying to take over the world. The Muslims had already taken over Spain. If the Crusades did not happen, all of Europe would be an extension of the middle east.

Please stop regurgitating this lie.
