No, it's not homophobia. It's Radical Islamic terrorism, and one of the many groups they want to kill happen to be homosexuals.Agreed. Obama, call it what it is: homophobia.

The weapons will always be an issue, because some weapons are simply vastly more effective.
If you're intelligent and hang around here (an oxymoron, I know), 23k is hardly necessary.lol. Do 23k posts turn on into an ironic being?![]()

Exactly.exactly which is why one can't buy missiles at a gun shop. How many rounds does someone need to defend himself?
I call bullshit.Actually, we could ban their manufacture, import, and offer a buyback. In time, the supply would shrink, and what remains would be carefully secured by the owner.
You yourself admitted that a shotgun was better for home defense than an AR-15 (and I agreed). So if we don't allow people to have nukes, because they're not necessary for home defense, and because what would happen if a mentally ill person got one, why do we allow people to have AR-15s?
You seem to constantly miss a big point.
Our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms... is not just to defend ourselves against muggers and Muslim savages. It's also to defend ourselves against "oppressive governments"... both foreign and domestic.
If the oppressing government (including our own) has battle rifles and the public has only hand guns, the public is effectively disarmed. There is no "half-way" ground. Either we have the right and capability to defend our freedoms or we don't.
Guns are still being manufactured in places other than Australia. What's their mass shooting rate since the ban?I call bullshit.
We have already had this argument. Cocaine has been illegal since early 1900's. Has the supply shrunk?
If manufacturing of firearms was banned in US and there was a demand for them, you don't think they will produce them south of the border?
are you sure it is me who misses the point here? Then why can you not buy a missile to "defend yourself against oppressive government". Isn't that what the armed forces are for?
One more than the other guy has.exactly which is why one can't buy missiles at a gun shop. How many rounds does someone need to defend himself?
Sounds reasonable to me. Can we go a few steps further? How about greater gov infiltration into organizations that are arming bangers and other criminals. Cut the flow to and then begin to systematically disarm criminals. Use terrorism laws on those who terrorize the inner cities. If the criminal element could be largely disarmed before turning law abiding citizens into criminals for simple ownership, I think great progress could be made in what actually needs to be done regarding gun violence. Wouldn't a discussion on gun violence look a lot different if a large percentage of criminals have been disarmed?
