So I liked Surface very much. It seems to be a great product, augmented reality that Microsoft will present soon seems to be a real game-changer. So I'm wondering what do you think about the company?
BTW, Windows sales plummet 7% :(

This is me too company now desperately trying to catch with new tech trends because they were left behind mobile revolution and open source software. They are trying to play old tricks by using their weight to monopolize what is left from their market share. So far it does not work and for the past few years they made series of mistakes. The last one is Windows 10 turned into full-fledged spyware. The company is now a dividend play with little downside risk and no huge upside potential since it is difficult to monetize free these days. I personally would prefer that they do better than this providing that they play fair with customers and competition but so far I do not see any changes.

That could be MSFT mission statement for the last 20 years.



IMO ...... MSFT would be a good long OTM call option position for earnings on October 22. I might post a live trade in my NFLX earnings - The fun begins October 1 thread.

They have it in them to create (or acquire) great products, just with a lot of crap in between. Some of their best:

Excel
Visual Studio
Xbox
Skype
Windows (the good versions)
