Since people assume my opinions without ever asking, blackface is horrible but in many cases people are just ignorant and need to be educated. I think several steps can be taken when a person does something so stupid is to force them in learning and studying about why what they did was offensive and making amends. Ignorance is no defense of the law but this is not a case of something illegal, just highly inappropriate. Many cases here are not someone doing blackface but dressing up as a person who is black for Halloween. However the connection exists and ignorance is easily battled with education .

For example if you do that and then apply for a job as the NAACP director in Spokane.

So now that we are approaching nearly 100 examples of college yearbooks from across the U.S. in the 1970s & 1980s which have pictures of people in blackface --- should everyone appearing in the pictures be fired?
Keeping in mind that cultural norms have changed over time and these type of blackface parties were common on campuses during the period 40 years ago.
This stuff will continue and get even worse until people refuse to go along and just say F off.

Don't worry....Warren already shot her chances in the foot with all of this. You think she is escaping unscathed but she will be asked to not throw her hat in the ring because she is too easy a target. In fact, outside of this fiasco, I cannot name anything else she is even involved with.
