Lardass Michael Moore thinks that the American Sniper is a coward

As I recall my fifth grade history, the British thought the uppity colonists were cowards for hiding behind trees and buildings (instead of standing in rank and file). : )

Yeah, and how did that work out for them?

Let's see, militia hiding in the trees shooting idiots who use rank and file OR we can come out of the woods, get slaughtered and all still be speaking the Queen's English today.

The argument is not about the effectiveness of sniping. Or pushing a button from an aircraft. Or shooting a man in the back.
 
I'll add one thing. People go off on "terrorists" as cowards for doing skirmish type warfare - that's not what makes them cowards. They should use tactics that they are best suited for against a superior force.

What makes terrorists cowards is because they go after non-combatants like women and children. Attacking a defenseless enemy is cowardice.
 
This is all that matters to Hollywood executives:

Box office opening weekends: Valley of Elah $133k Rendition $4mm The Green Zone $14mm Lions for Lambs $6.7mm American Sniper $94mm.
 
Snipers are just one more critical element in conducting warfare. It is true that they are most hated by either side of those engaged in combat, but the true warrior respects the full capabilities of the enemy. One thing many tend to forget. The other side has a say. They have a reason. They have a cause. They have their purpose. The winners get to write the history, but that does not make the cause of the loser any less just to the loser.
All that said, Michael Moore is an ass. I would expect no less of him.
