I don't understand the volunteering to be treated like shit driving around in humvees getting blown up. Don't get me wrong... I sometimes thank these guys when I see them in uniform... because I think they really buy into the defending the country deal...

but I still get pissed when I think about the way the polticians and perhaps the military leadership prosecuted that war..

its almost like they wanted to create the appearance of losing ... so haliburton and the other defense and oil cronies could steal more money longer.

About snipers: In Iraq the other day, 13 teenage boys were executed in public for watching a soccer game. I would have had no problem if a sniper(s) had been present to execute the executioners before they carried out their act.
