NFV(2) continues to skyrocket. Hmmmm....

Convergence... Nice.... Just in time to lock in that massive loss.

somebody or SOMETHING is holding up this market.

the aliens?

the other day i watched an old Sci-Fi "Hangar 18". the movie is about the aliens and US elections BTW.

So far not shorting has been right. NFV(2) is more or less where it was on the last post. It spooked me a bit that monster jump.

I am getting a bit itchy to sell here though...Systemically it is correct...

If the FED announces the $2T QE GS says it will, we will have a +4% up move tomorrow and probably see 1300 by YE. What is priced in at this point? Imo even more than $500B, probably closer to $750B.

There is no way that the people that say it would be bad for the market are right. Sure it may be bad long term, but where the F**ck do they think that money will end up? I am not even convinced it would be bad long term, _for_wall_street_. Look how fast and easily the last TARP was payed. Granted, that was low hanging fruit...

Thing is, this is not a liquidity issue in _main_street_ America. It is structural imo, and far far worse than anyone is willing to admit. Initially, there would probably be some trickle down effect from the people who already have jobs 401K going higher (these QE directly only help people that __already__ have jobs.) But then what? All it does is push the problem further out.

Who knows, it could work if we get lucky. What if someone invents the equivalent of what the car or semi-conductors is to the economy today?

Nitro,

I haven't read all 300 plus pages of this thread but you are doing this with paper money right? I think it always helps to put that in the disclaimer in the thread just in case anyone is following along and using real money to trade this.

The daytrades NFV(2) are real (OPM). The trades based on NFV are Sim. That has been made clear a while back.

As soon as I am comfortable with a longer term NFV, it will also go live. I feel I am very very close with NFV(2) for the longer term, but no cigar yet.

Current NFV Position

Short 7 units (max position)
Basis=1159.94
Realized loss= 60.60 (since 9/2)
Unrealized loss= 235.36 (SPX @ 1193.56)

Happy birthday to the position!!! It has been 2 months now that you got stuck in a hapless losing battle against QE 2.

Also best wishes for the new baby, aka NFV (2)!!!
