KING OF BAIN....Oh My Gawd!

Quote from Maverick74:

I'm sorry, I don't have multiple personalities. I am the same guy up there that I am down here and in person. In other words, I don't pretend. But if you like pretending to be different people, so be it. I'm not going to get in your way. Good luck with that.

We all have multiple personalities, some of us just aren't aware. But you have the last word, my friend.:)

No, I treat people the same no matter who they are or what they believe. I respect atheists as much as southern baptists. I respect hard core liberals as much as hard right wingers. I respect black people as much as white people. And on and on. Can you honestly say the same?

I've told you this before, I've met "a lot" of guys on ET in person and I'm the same guy in person as I am down here and the same guy I am up on the trading threads.

Quote from Epic:

Unfortunately, only those of us who understand accounting, capitalism, and markets could be influenced fairly. We are the minority. The rest respond to fear mongering and propaganda.

But I'm operating under one main assumption, that if someone is going to pay to put together a 30-minute attack piece, they are going to try to use examples that best support their cause. The fact is that in most cases (as 377OHMS pointed out) even the best examples against him have been shown to be false. That is really telling.

After a large amount of research, I've been pushed toward the opinion that as PE guys go, he was probably one of the most legit and honest of them all.
I'm sure you're right to a point, because it was certainly an agenda-driven slant piece against him. Now the onus is on Romney to set the record straight. And although I'm not disposed to the Right, I'm all ears and open mind to the unvarnished facts regarding this particular matter.

So are you going to allow me to ask you a few more questions in the ACD thread to get to a better point of distillation? As you may recall, I don't use the ACD method, but have read posts in that thread from time to time. And although I do not plan to use it, given the chance, I like to get to the heart of any given matter. You know, make it as simple as possible but no simpler.

That onus might be too much for Romney. Most people aren't like you. They don't have your understanding, and even if they did, they aren't open minded.

That is why I've lost a ton of respect for Newt. Scare tactics are tools of the weak. I always thought that he was intelligent, but IMO a truly intelligent person doesn't need resort to distorted scare tactic in an attempt to defend his ego.

Error.

Newt is the best attack dog in the history of modern politics. This ad is not about him. It is about who he is trying to impact. He knows that scare tactics win. He invented this, bruh. Newt is the Original negative politician.

That is why I said when the King of Bain attacked Newt, he would be very sorry he did.

Fair enough. But let's not overlook that Romney has resorted to some "scare tactics" against Obama and all the evil that he do. Admittedly, in Romney's defense, he's at least pissing outside of his own tent.

I'm not disagreeing with you... I just wasn't that familiar with him before. Now I am, and the view isn't pretty.
