AM radio is dead man. There is too much competition now. Rush ruled the airwaves way back before Sirus and the like took over.

Let's look at the numbers. There are about 120 million conservatives in the country. Rush gets about 3 million a day. That means, less then 3% of people who are conservative listen to him. That's pretty small RCG. I would say he is a non event. Rush in a way is very much like Ron Paul in that both people have a "small" but loyal following. They bark a lot and are really loud, but there are not that many of them.

Again, you live in the city. Folks down here quote Rush everyday. I have to be fair and say that there are only a few superstations down here and they are all conservative, so some people have never even heard of msnbc. But, that is not the point. You also did not address that when Rush told his listener to phone Congress they did crash the system. And Rush did have such an impact on the 2008 election that the President had to address him as the head of the GOP. I would not exactly call that minor, Mav.
