Hey, with Darkhorse back, I know you can't resist anyway. I mean what could be more fun? It doesn't get any better than this. Just imagine having Daniel_m, MrSub (with or without his mom), Darkhorse, Stu, Fasterwhatevercat, Jem, and the rest of the usual suspects in a free for all. How can you resist?
And like I said before, it's all in fun anyway. What the heck? You have nothing to lose but your temper, and I know you are too enlightened for that.

RWell I just got off the phone with that POS Bud Selig, and so far no go. Where the hell is Judge Landis when you need him?
So I will make him call me back. I will wait him out. Spoke with George (Steinbrenner), and he says he has also tried to reason with the guy. Nelson and Fred are into their own little tiff, so apparently this whole baseball nonsense seems to have fallen on my shoulders. (as far as the owners side of the issue). Now George told me that I can have unlimited use of his gofer (Castanza) if I need him. I may take him up on the offer, but not for the negotiations. For trading though. I figure I'll let him trade odd lots, and whatever he does, I'll do the opposite with large size.
Speaking of trading, I thought today was an unusually tough day even given the fact that they all seem tough lately.
A spit market like today (Naz up, Dow down, S&P flat) is always a rough call. So of course I took some longs over the weekend because I need an excuse to get our of bed Monday morning...as I said, my wife is away. Other than that, there was no excuse.
GOOD NEWS....Wednesday I shorted PG. Covered it yesterday for a pretty modest loss relative to the price of the stock, but still significant in dollars. Today, I walked in to find that somehow I was still actually short the thing. And it was a WINNER!!! Once in a while the trading gods do step up to the plate for me.
I think I made money on an error last in about 1941 or '42....don't remember exactly, because I wasn't born yet. I do know it had to be in a prior life.
Well that's all for now. I am saddened at the loss of Publias, and hope he reconsiders. I am staying hopeful!
