That is good news, it means the increase in deportations is nothing bad. Going back to the 3rd world is not really a bad thing. Their consumption levels and carbon footprint will decrease dramatically as well which is also a good thing.

I don't have a problem with immigration, it is the illegal immigration that concerns me. Can you imagine if you entered Colombia illegally and then stuck around to eventually be deported for visa abuse and your first response was to cry "racism"!...you would be laughed right out of the country.

Let's stop getting overly dramatic with the historical references to "nativism..ect..". A citizen of a nation who wants their immigration laws to be upheld is not a racist. If some Colombian wants you to leave if you violate any of their visa laws then that is not being racist.

You might not be aware of this because you are not in America currently but simply being a straight white male is about the worst possible thing you can be in America right now. It means you are born a racist with privilege and that you do not deserve to be heard speaking publicly at the risk of disrupting someones safe space.

The 3rd World is looking more attractive to me by the day........

The "3rd world" originally was coined as non-aligned with either NATO or the communist bloc, usually undeveloped of course at the time. In the post WWII imperial US mindset it has come to mean third rate. That causes poor judgement.

I have never experienced racism in person that I can recall. I am imposing they say so I have never directly identified with the fears of ordinary men. If I raise my voice people start looking at the exits so I learned to be calm and that certainly paid dividends.

It has been interesting to let loose a bit online. I find the ideas of safe spaces etc. detestable but I have never been humiliated by anyone. I want to say look kid you are going too far here but without some experience of their trouble it is hard to hit the nail on the head. Maybe it will happen as I grow too old to intimidate with a big frown.

An American acquaintance, retiree, here in Colombia said something similar about being white in America. I asked him when he had actually experienced racism (or reverse) that really affected him in his life. He had met some assholes who were black, we all have, but they had no power over him. These were just annoying encounters with ignorant behavior etc.

I dunno, the vibe I get is fear of loss far more than actual loss experienced with whites in the US? As traders we know that fear of loss/further loss is a killer.

The administrative arm of our gov't has a long history of forcing colleges and high schools to enforce federal law or lose funds.

You leftys think its awesome for the gov't to run all over people like this by selectively enforcing the things you like. But Trump was elected and Moore will be elected and Merkel is getting her fat rear end kicked out and it's all just going to keep getting worse as a result of these shenanigans.

So what makes taking money away from schools that don’t comply to federal education guidance is that they accept money for the purpose of education and the government only seeks to withhold money for education. You can’t withhold money for highways, or local law enforcement for cities not enforcing federal immigration policy. If there was money to fund federal immigration policy to say law enforcement then you can withhold that money. Tying immigration policy to highway funds would be unconstitutional because there is not a reasonable connection between the two.
