Just who is the problem?

Well, that's one way of looking at it. The other way would be that anyone who is willing to "make a deal with the most intransigent, hardline, unreasonable, totalitarian mullahs in the world"...I'd say that person IS the problem.

What kind of idiot would get their political commentary from Stewart? He's a comedian. Often a clever even sometimes funny comedian. But just a comedian nonetheless.

Sending love letters is not making a deal.

Unless bending over is your idea of a deal.

Yes exactly, If he had approached republicans the same way he did the iranians, ie, give them whatever they wanted, he would have gotten plenty of cooperation.

Iran.

What we fail to understand is that Iran is going to produce nuclear weapons regardless and probably supply them to surrogate groups (terrorists).

What they fail to understand is how the west would react to a terrorist nuclear event once we traced the resultant waste isotope signature to their fuel production process.

WWIII?

WWIII?

If a hypothetical nuke was supplied to a hypothetical terrorist group supported by Iran and they detonated it in a hypothetical european or north american city and it was subsequently ascertained with certainty that the fuel was produced in an Iranian process?

If a lot of restraint was exercised I'm sure we would invade Iran and execute most of the theocracy.

If considerably less restraint was exercised I think those Iranian cities with nuclear installations could have a sudden warming event that was definitely caused by man. If the terrorist attack was really heinous then I could imagine Iran getting the whole hockey stick in the tuckus. Neither Russia or China would make a peep of protest in fact most of their leadership would be huddled in bunkers hoping the US was gonna stop with Iran.
