Do you give these people any room for adopting a different lifestyle than the majority? What if the women liked the setup? I don't hear them complaining now. Who is to decide they were "brainwashed?" Everyone concedes the children were well-cared for
-------------------------------------
Suppose a woman (the mother) picked up her kid for a visit from a foster home/ social worker and the mother has a black eye?
This would fit your criteria
Different lifestyle.
She does not appear to be brainwashed. She is an adult.
I suppose the woman likes the set up, she remains in the home.
She is not complaining
The child appears well cared for.
--------------------------------
The child witnessed the mother receiving the black eye.
The child heard the verbal language ("abuse?) prior and after.
The mother did not complain.
What lesson has that child learned?

What assumptions can be made regarding the mother and father, as an outsider?
Should anyone intervene for the childs benefit?
