Well put, bighog. I guess some of our members are so blinded by their conspiracy goggles that they're simply unable to see anything else. It is impossible for me to understand how they could suggest that there's any question about the reality of what goes on in these 'communities', especially after the facts have been stated and cited.
Like I said, some of these these extreme right-wingers apparently use the same techniques as the PC police they love to hate. I guess that's what's meant by 'irony'.

Ratboy, clear your head and look at the facts. Forget about your political views and look only at the facts. This is a cult who had no regard for the constituitional rights of the people they bred in this cult. Look at what is. There are members of this cult that only know the law and rules of this cult becasue they have not been exposed to anything else. They were born and taught only one way of thinking..to serve the elite cult members. A consequence of this is that these memebers will not even come to their own defense most of the time becasue they are not aware of the abuse against themselves. They were kept ignorant so that the elite memebers of the cult could continue to exploit them for their self gain..be it sexual or for labor.
Why do you want to defend their constitutional rights when they have no regard for the rights of the people they brainwashed?
i havent seen one shred of evidence. there isn't one charge yet that i am aware of. if they end up filing charges that 3 girls were molested at the age of 17 i think kidnapping 400 kids wasn't the way to ferret out this grand crime scheme.
i also am finding out the sheriff did not have anyone on the inside as ABC reported. his informant is more than likely Flora Jessop who is the person that the hoax caller and obama pledged delegate, communicated with for weeks. so now we have a direct link of sheriff doran to jessop to swinton. this is how they got the warrant.... this doesn't smell to you?
also, rep Hilderbran specifically had the legal age for marriage changed from 14 to 16 w/parental consent.. in June of 2005. he also made the penalties much more severe. he freely admits he did this to target the fdls.
given the change in law.. technically, a 16 yr old with a 2 yr old child could be legal at the ranch. i notice the media doesn't even mention this little tidbit.
then you have the mineral rights and the oil drilling 200 yards from the ranch's property. the locals aren't exactly thrilled that Jeffs has executive rights. Sheriff Doran admits he was under pressure to raid the ranch previously when the locals claimed Jeffs was there.
although i posted one video earlier.. i havent even begun to document the horrors of the foster system and CPS's extortionist tactics.
Heres what I smell. A cult that knows how to operate so that "technically" they appear to not break any laws. Then they continue to use very young girls for their own pleasure, and use young men for their labor. "Technically" a possibiltiy to outsmart the law.

i wish these people knew the history of Joseph Smith and the angel Moroni for what it seems to be. they think the american indians are the israelites.. DNA proves they aren't.. they are asians from siberia. sorta kills the whole story. not to mention the freemason ties.

How do you think it should be handled? If ex polygamist sect members have claimed abuse, how would you if you were a law enforcement person handle the burden of gathering evidence in a constituitional way? Remember you are dealing with a society within a society. They intentionally seclude themselves from the general population. It is obvious they have set themselves up to hide from the law. So how do you gather evidence?

That is your right to feel one wife is a curse, and you have the right not to marry. That is a good thing you have that right. But in this polygamist sect girls have no right to refuse to be a part of a harem. And really, since you mentioned why would anyone want 5 wives, "technically" these polygamist guys really have no committment to a wife,,just seems that way. What they have is a playboy lifestly disguised as marriage. What a bunch of bs. Now if a women chooses to be part of a harem (when she is informed and educated of all the options in the world) then that is her right to be a part of a harem. But these women are kept ignorant and secluded and given no choices.
ps DNA can prove wether a 14 year old girl gave birth to a 40 year old guys child.
