I wasn't talking about 747's. But low flying smaller planes can certainly be shot down with a rifle.

So, how many air planes planes have been shot down over US soil after WW2 ended? The ban on such deadly weapons clearly shows that it has a merit and is working as it should.

Military will not use these low flying planes for airstrikes. Not sure if they even have any. They mostly use to display banners.

Tell it to the Army then, he who admits he's never served. It's a basic soldiers' skill. It's not easy but under the right conditions and with a little luck a group of soldiers with rifles can take down almost anything. Your ignorance and stupidity are exceeded only by your arrogance.

My point being that a government "ban" does NOT prevent those that really want something from getting their hands on it. Be it semi auto rifles, missiles, drugs, alcohol what ever - you name it.

The Columbine HS shooters violated no less than 20 firearms laws obtaining their weapons. The laws didn't even slow them down.
