Jon Stewart reveals the essence of Republican hypocrisy

Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:

I go to many forums across the global.
But do you go to forums in other countries and tell those citizens that they're too stupid to know whats best for themselves AND while doing so talk as if you're a citizen of those countries?
Do you?
No

I'm a trader...this is what I do.
What's any of this have to do with trading?

I think you said it best when you admitted that this is your problem.
I think you've chosen to completely overlook the real problem; so you can tell yourself you were right all along.

1) yes

2) everything

3) no clue what you're talking about.

As long as a poster realizes that 90% of republicans and democrats are willing to sell out their country of lobbying money, does it really matter if Jon Stewart makes one side or the other look stupid.

its kind of like what prosecutors do, to criminals -- they over charge them figuring they will plea out to what they really did. (by the way I do not support that practice).

We know that dems and republicans are corrupt. So what if Stewart got this one wrong.

The democrats got porkulous, the continued bank bail out oversight of the Fed, financial regulation and health care wrong. The republicans got pretty much 8 years of Bush wrong.

We let china get copper mining contracts in Afghanistan... we spend billions in Iraq without oil revenues...

is their anything Congress does for the majority of Americans... ever? They can't even set up unemployment correctly. All they have to do is have benefits decrease over time.

Both parties are being bought by special interests. Until we get rid of lobbying money, we will keep getting sold out by the traitors on the hill. And I use that word without and any hyperbole. I am firmly convinced those bastards betray the people for campaign money 90% of the time.

The question is will you still obsess over a Canadian who as you've admitted many times means nothing to you? Or does he?

Quote from Tsing Tao:

the more i read this forum, the more i realize how much of a narrow-viewed gasbag you really are.

as i continue to read up on the topic, i find some interesting points.

13 republicans voted for the bill. given the majority the dems have, why did they enter a motion to require it to have 2/3rds majority in order to pass? this is an interesting comment from a blogger i read:

"It was all for show so they could get the cspan sound bite and continue to paint the Republicans as the party of no. Even Chuck Todd(filling in for Chris Mathews) saw and pointed out the deception. "

hmm.

i agree that the legislation itself should be passed (and paid for - not just added to the debt) but this isn't about the legislation. this is about politics showmanship. stewart missed that.

the GOP said it isn't voting on anything until the tax cuts get passed. anything. the dems knew this and threw this bill on the altar of sacrifice in order to make the GOP look bad. It worked, as many people fell for it.

the dems don't care for the bill any more than the republicans do.

Good stuff.

What I've said repeatedly is that his OPINION on OUR politics is irrelevant and and carries no weight whatsoever. You're trying to twist it into something else. But then since you've just admitted to being guilty of posing as citizens of other countries and telling foreigners that they're too stupid to know what's best for themselves, why would I expect anything else. You and Gabby are two peas in a pod. Go ahead, defend him some more.

Your assumptions are baffling. I pray that you're not flying today.

Get back to me when you can express your thoughts coherently.

We have a WINNAHH!!!!!!!!

It's simply the Golden Rule. Them that haz da Gold, (or can print it and hand it to their friends) buys the politicians that vote on the Rules.
